Anybody know of any month to month internet options that I could do until Google Fiber rolls into my neighborhood?

So nothing wrong with it other than the contract? What are you looking for?

So I wanted AT&T to agree to the plan Google will offer which is 50$/month for 100MBps internet, no data cap, no contract. AT&T won't offer that. So since AT&T contract ends Saturday, I don't want another contract, I will wait for Google to become available.

Gotcha. I was gonna cancel my personal phone till they told me though we have unlimited I’m not to overuse it

Edit. Also yeah we have unlimited on Verizon. They say they throttle after a certain amount, but I’ve never noticed.

sometime within the near future. a month ago they told Michael it would be within 6 months they'd roll out the neighborhoods from Airport Road to the river. just last week I started seeing signs around for Google Fiber.

So, worst case I'd assume 6 months. Best case, a month or two.

That's why I want to look at some sort of mobile hotspot or some kind of option UNTIL google comes.

once your contract ends you do just pay month by month. Mine has been up since early march. If you dont want to get locked in to a contract just dont upgrade or start another plan.

I may have to tell them to do that if I find no affordable option. I just really hate AT&T lol. Customer service reasons only, the internet has been great.

Haha you clearly have never dealt with Comcast or Charter or Wow/Knology! Mainly Comcast though. I have had to call AT&T 2 times so far and they have been 1000% better than I ever had at Comcast. Personally, I think all cable/internet companies have awful customer service, but I don't think any of them are as bad as Comcast!

Hopefully AT&T will let you do a few months til Google can get over there though.

    Look at this! :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Cassandra: Thank you by the way! Your patience in waiting for me this morning is awesome, sorry it took so long for me to answer. I've been quite swamped. Haha.

Scotty Baker: no worries! I understand!

to let you know why I'm asking this question, my AT&T Fiber contract ends April 14th. I'm not wanting to get into another contract as I'm sure you understand! So I need some form of internet as soon as possible and wondering what length of time till I can access Google Fiber.

Cassandra: I completely understand! So it looks like at the moment, we aren't totally out in the area as of yet. Google Fiber likes to go through subdivision by subdivision, they ted to name these 'Fiberhoods'. (It's a fantastically silly name. I love it.) So it looks like your on the cusp of getting Google Fiber, but not quite. What I would love to do is actually escalate your home up to our most amazing Wizards of the Address World. They would take a look and 100% check your eligibility to find out. If that would be alright?

Beam me up, Scotty! You still with me?

Scotty Baker: I'm sorry! had to step away!

    yes I'm here!

what do you mean escalate my home?

Cassandra: Oh, you're cool. I had to make sure I wasn't wearing a Red Shirt.

Scotty Baker: I'm loving you already haha!

    Cassandra: Ahaha!

So the nerd lite version just means that I force them to re-check your eligibility. I get back to you in 6 days. And tell you yes or no, vs what I have in front of my screen is already no.

Scotty Baker: ok, yeah I haven't seen them in my neighborhood yet, but I've seen signs.

I'm just trying to decide if I need to find some sort of hotspot option

Cassandra: You've seen the signs, did they open up your eyes? I kid. Haha! But no, I totally understand. Your not that far out from having it in your address. Have you signed up for email updates?

    Scotty Baker: yes I have.

Cassandra: Okay, fair. Let me escalate this address for you, and if it would be okay I can just follow up by email and check-in with what I found. What's the best email address I can use for you?
