    Mornin' all.

No new truck, they sold it before I could get down to even see it. I had a funeral to go to on Saturday and they sold it that day.

And I guess he didn't really want it! I learned the hard way with a few boats this season that I missed out on. When the one I bought got listed, I told him I would be there right away. Left work, started driving immediately. Gotta jump ASAP when a good deal arises for something you are looking for.

Yea some of them were a bitch - you could try to heat it and that might help a little.

Honestly I don't recall - it was about the same price as those crappy moog LCA replacements that are offered. I have heard hit/miss with them - when it comes to something as critical as a control arm I try to either stick with OEM or an aftermarket upgrade. Never an OEM equivalent...

I run Hawk HPS pads up front with OEM rotors - don't get oem rotors... they warp super quick......

    Pretty much!
It was a really good deal!
Unfortunately, I knew in the back of my mind that there was a good chance I'd miss it. I had a bunch of stuff going on with work Friday afternoon and couldn't leave early. They close early during the week so no chance I was going to get there Friday. They have short weekend hours and I had a wake and funeral that went from 10 AM until about dinner time Saturday. I planned on heading down at opening Sunday morning but saw that it wasn't on their website when I woke up. Timing just couldn't have been more wrong when it popped up.

Well, hopefully the same thing happens with you as did with my boat. I think I'm happier with what I eventually ended up with. So maybe you'll find an even better deal soon.

I hope so... I keep trying to put the blinders on to the Titan XD diesel. I really want to like that truck and I made the mistake of actually driving one. It's a damn comfy ride, awesome interior. I just can't find enough info to see if they've sorted out their issues with cold starts. It has a really good warranty and roadside assistance for a long time. I'd figure out any of the issues pretty quickly, just don't want to deal with a lemon...

I am looking to make or buy a wiring harness that will connect to this.

I think it's the 14 pin this guy is holding.
    14 pin.jpg

I am trying to finish up the new radio and speaker install in our Outback. So far no cutting of factory wiring, and the only thing left is to set up the steering wheel controls. I already have the controller, but it requires some splicing, unless i can get this harness thing fogured out.

Also, what are those white connectors called?

The original Titan wasn't a bad truck. I have a friend with one of the first ones. As far as I know, weaknesses are the transfer case and rear end on certain models.

Switching homeowners insurance is a pain. Or, rather, cancelling my old policy.

Would have been nearly $3k for home and auto with them for next year with the new truck...no way. Shopped around and got it back down to $2k with slightly more coverage.

Also found out a lot of companies won't talk to you if you don't have a fire hydrant nearby. Do they think everyone has town water?

I need to look at my insurance situation. I pay a lot but I have a ton of toys. 3 boats, 2 wheelers, 4 trailers, 2 sleds, the truck, personal article and the house. And no one has town water where I live. No one. Literally I don't think the town of Henniker has town water even downtown.

Nice to meet you too! Boat was a little bigger than I thought from the pics online and in better condition, so I am happy and the wife is excited for the project! Going to be a Maine lake boat. Little paint, fix the bent corner (above water line guys so I won't be drowning if I am lazy about that) and then find a little outboard. I don't want to have to find a 20hp, but with the size I'm not sure a 10hp would do it. Anyone with little boat experience got any input? Would be pushing about 4-500lbs plus whatever the boat weighs, maybe 200 with the platform?
