The two 19mm bolts closest to the license plate are just impossible to remove. I've already broken one wrench trying to loosen one. Are these supposed to require super human strength to remove? o_O

Any advise? Really don't want to break anything else...or myself haha

What exactly are you removing? The whole bumper and hitch can be removed as one piece by removing 8-10 bolts underneath connecting it to the frame

Time for a new tool? Electric impact guns are your friend.

Also soak with your favourite penetrating lubricant.

^^^This. Also try spraying some penetrating oil on (and letting them soak) those bolts if you wanna take them out.

The hitch needs to stay, I've got a steel plate bumper that I'm installing. Everything is removed except for these two.

Head to harbor freight and pick up a large breaker bar and some impact sockets but before you leave hit the bolts with some penetrating oil.

Go by a shop and throw a tech some beer money to break those bolts off with an impact gun.

Found an old breaker bar of grandpa's that was just enough to break em free after letting them soak an hour. Thanks guys!

Nice. If you're looking to add some to your tool chest, the harbor freight options are inexpensive ($20ish).

    Workin' on it....
I’ll soak the bolts with PB blaster a couple times in the week leading up to when I plan to work on something - helps immensely.

@jross20 - what bumper did you end up getting?

I got the body armor (I think that's their name) rear steel bumper. The price dropped down to 365 on Amazon and I couldn't pass it up.

While I'm not a huge fan of the way it mounts... I plan to get a friend with a plasma cutter to make me some plates to wedge into the gaps for added strength as the spacers feel eh, the bumper its' feels nigh indestructible. No issues with the finish either.

I'm fairly sure that one I get the minor reinforcement plates on my rear will be invicible in terms of low-ish speed impacts or dings.
