Lights for my Prinsu rack

I have the same lights. What kind of wiring did you use? Were you able to find something that matched?

 

I used this. It’s close but but a little bigger than what’s on the lights.

Do you have a pic of the wires side by side?

 

I do not. But it is at least twice as thick as the cord on the ignites. But not much thicker as the cord on the scene lights.

Well my OCD took over. And I wanted my lights a little more hidden. So I swapped the rigid scene lights for the rigid ignites and it turned out sweet, they are hidden and look exactly like I want them to! Will get night time pics tonight.

 

I’m interested to see how much of a shadow they would cast right next to the truck. But they do look good.

 

I'll get pictures tonight. Been busy with work lately but packing up the truck for a camping trip tomorrow so I'll get some tonight!

 

How did you like the Ignites compared to the Scene light? And did you ever get a pic of the new lights?

What did you do with the old lights you removed?

I ended up selling the old lights. The ignites are just as bright but I like them a lot more cause they are more hidden than the scene lights. The scene lights I had to mount on the side of my rack where as the ignites I mounted under my toprac so they are more hidden and flush and it looks better in my opinion.

 

I have ocd too and would love to know how your ignite setup is going. Do you still like it? If I may ask, how did you mount your ignites? I see flush mounts but don’t see anything that allows you to mount from inside the Prinsu.

 

I mounted them to my toprac. I’ll go take some pictures right now. I actually love how they ended up. They are super slick, bright, and actually look like they were made for the rack. The only tricky part is the wiring.

Sure did! I want to do some for the rear as well. Have lights in my bumper right now.

 

Question: I'm thinking of running a single small LED (Rigid Ignite, BD S2 Sports or something similar) on each side of my truck/rack as camp lights. The first time I use these will be at our base camp for a 24-hour trail race...so they'd be run from sundown to sun-up. Can a couple of these be run continuously overnight without the truck being on?

 

I don’t want to tell you yes, but I can say that I have left them on for several hours (by accident) with no problem. Truck started fine. Dual battery setup i say your fine but never had them on for as long as your talking.

 

Ya, even though these lights don't draw a ton of current I thought that may be pushing the stock battery setup a little past what it's intended for. I'll probably go with a power bank inverter and some less powerful lights. As an added bonus I can use this setup in situations that don't involve the truck...

 

I use mine when camping. Have the rigid ignites on my racks and they are the perfect amount of light for around the truck. And those little guys don’t draw much power at all.
