Welded 1/4” with it when I put the lunette on my trailer.

I did double passes, but I don’t think I really needed to.

 

Yes it is. Still playing with settings. I like the chart on the inside of the cover

 

I live by the chart on the side cover. Hasn’t been wrong yet.

I haven’t varied from the suggested settings. I just watch the pool and adjust MY speed as necessary.

 

Are you running argon?

I didn’t even mess with the flux core. I think I gave the little that it came with to Floyd.

 

Not yet. Going to try to find a used tank on Craigslist, to get filled, instead of buying new.

 

OK, just keep in mind they need to be up to date on the certification.

They are expensive though.

Also make sure you can find a place that will fill a bottle that you didn’t buy from them.

I’m not up on my mig game (bekuz electrodes) but can’t you get a flux core wire feed to not bother with any bottles? Thought that’s what @Wheelspinner has..

 

My/our welders can do flux core or gas
