Haha yeah it is, we were all into it all weekend pretty much. Its a bit of plasma cutting, a shit ton of grinding and a decent amount of welding.

Forget shackle flip! Go chevy 63s, its more better. Plus once you get the rear hangers off you are halfway there already.

Down near Beaumont. Id like to say we know what we are doing, just don't watch us work, cause you wont believe that statement after that. However I am 2 for 2 on chevy spring swaps that have turned out alright.

    2 for 2 is better than 0 for 2.

Why do all the people that know what to do on Tacomas, not in East Texas. Ha.

I could build a flatbed if anyone would want one :spy: mine went from nice to clusterfuck cause I'm getting ready to transition to 37s and getting as much use out of the 15" shocks with the 63 swap but it was clean when I first designed it lol. It'll be clean again once I get time to touch it all up. Gotta cut off the headache rack and replace it with a tube so I can use it to build an exo cage off of it. And I gotta cover up the holes in the wheel wells with some trailer fender sections or just redo them completely to tuck 37s. That's why there's big cuts there. Same for the shocks. Was trying to make sure there was enough room

So why do the Chevy 63 swap? Increased height, increased articulation?
    What exactly gets cut/glue?
From what model Chevy are the springs from?

Because they're cheaper than a new Dakar or all pro pack and get tons more flex. You can also put more leafs if you want to handle more weight.

I agree with what they both said. I was pleasantly surprised with the increased ride quality on them. You get droop for days as @weldertacos pic proves. And if you put the overload leaf in you can haul as much as your bed can take I’d wager.

I put my overload back in on mine after I built the flat bed it added some more weight back there.

Hey guys! First time tacoma owner (2013 MGM DCSB TRD/OR 2WD). Lived in Beaumont all my life. Really surprised to see there was a SETX group. Hope to see some of you guys around. As of the moment, no mods and stock everything.

I got my shit almost sitting on bumpstops lol. Like 3-4" of uptravel but 10-11" of droop. Truck still sits stupid low but has droop for days.

Does it lift the rear much? I'm already maxed out up front, trying to match the rear height.

Might have to try and find pics of swap and towing trailer.
