TSBs aren't automatic fixes like a recall, the truck has to display the symptom first before they'll order your parts.

Some dealers may take your word for it, most will not, they have to see or hear it for themselves. I've had to demonstrate symptoms to both my TSB issues (LCA whistle and R-D delay when cold) before they would do the fix. Even when my diff started leaking (not on the recall but fixed under warranty) I had to wait almost three months for parts.

Buy something else next time, multi-billion dollar company won't miss losing you if they've got 10 new customers lined up to replace you.

Let us know how the new truck manufacturer takes care of you for niggling little issues.

Pretty sure you're not allowed to mention this type of thing if it is really happening.

Why... It's public record now.. Ain't exactly a secret if it's filed in a court house. If you mean before they agree too then sure...

Unfortunately no grounds to lemon law it. Just a bad product that I am stuck with. My 86 Ranger felt more stout and punchy than this truck.

most states say if it's stuck in service for a duration of 30 days.. You can begin the process.

your state is one of them.

Lemon Law varies from state to state. You cannot mention it only if you agree to a settlement wherein the terms of such are confidential. Been there done that a few times. I’m getting the TSB done for mine. Technically because the whine/howl is only being dampened one could argue there is still a defect causing such so it really depends on what the law of your particular state says. I could have LL’d mine but chose to keep it. I like it and there is nothing else out there I like more so I’ll put up with a the noise. My wife can be noisy at times too but we’re doing well after all these years so I’ll keep her too. ;). Best of luck to all.

    That is what i did.

I noticed a high pitch whine coming from the rear of my truck before I traded it off but thought it was just a Tacoma thing.

So instead you're just going to run yours about how unhappy you are with it?

Whatever floats your boat I guess.

What are you worrying about, noise? The diff aren't blowing up due to noise, I'd be more worried about any leaks.

At least it's not a 30k truck snapping in half after a few winters.

I'm surprised someone hasn't DIY and taken egg crate foam and made their own sound deadener for the rear in-cab body mounts.

I think I am going the DIY route. Bought the interior No.5 pad pillar pieces so far. I was imagining foam pieces, but they are actually long strips of rubber. Still trying to figure out where to put them in the C pillar haha PDF image just shows a foam piece in the C pillar and no long piece of rubber.. I am trying to get my hands on some pics of the dynamic damper to see what it looks like. Then I may see what can be done from there.

I did finally call my purchasing dealer this week (they are hours away from me, been going to local dealer for the howl). Kind of a last attempt before I order the TSB parts myself. My salesman got with his service department and called me back a few days later. Unfortunately I missed his call and got a voicemail. Anyways, they are all confused as to why my local dealer hasn't ordered the parts. He said forget about the TSB not being for my truck. If there are parts that fix a howl and the engineer said its the same howl as the TSB then they should have ordered the parts as a warranty repair. He sounded pretty unhappy how my local dealer is handling this. Of course by the time I called him back he was on his PTO. I go on PTO late next week so I probably wont have an update on this for a bit. It sounded like they may try to get the parts for me. It just kind of depends if I want to make the 225 mile round trip possibly multiple times. Hopefully we can make something happen once he is back. Maybe give me a decent discount on the remaining TSB parts at the least :fingerscrossed:
