Anybody order from ALG Defense? I placed an order ten days ago and the website still says "Still Processing." I sent an e-mail asking for an update and haven't heard back from them. Thinking about cancelling my order.

As mentioned before, the optics probably would be spun, and we know exactly how they'd be spun. I don't want to give the anti-gunner crowd any more ammo in their "march." Meanwhile, I just keep trying to point out the hypocrisy of it all to the March supporters.

 

I had a order from Optics Planet take two months. They told me they would not ship it until all of it was together. They said they would have to charge me more shipping if they broke up the order. Call ALG Defense and see what is going on before you cancel it.

I've always wanted a 1911 but considering there's like 100 different manufacturers I've yet to get one. From what I've been reading if you want to spend less than $700, get a RIA. If your budget is a little more, spring for a Sig.

 

Nothing wrong with the Ruger 1911's. They are affordable and shoot well.
Same with the RIA's and they are even cheaper.

 

10-4 0n the number of manufactures, I am a big Ruger fan so that is why I am leaning in that Direction.

 

I have not seen this version, And I like it a lot congrats!

 

If I were to buy a 1911 I’d get a RIA, and then take it to Sum Gy’s Custom firearms and let him work his magic on it, cost would likely be close to the Ruger out the door but it would be “yours” and higher quality.
