Rusty Lugs

I bought a set of Method Con6 rims through a local shop.
I also purchased a set of black lugs with a special socket for removal etc.
I have had the rims on about 6 months.
yes they have been removed and put back several times.
The lugs are all rusting already!
Look like crap next to the rims.
Just wondering...did I purchase crappy lugs?
Is this normal?
Is there a brand people recommend?

I bought Gorilla but they are pricey.

 

Ballpark? Im thinkn 300 Canadian for black spline ones...

However i think with my rims i need a longer one. I guess i need to contact Method. I could take one off but i dont have a torque wrench lol

 

Yeah these are of the shorter type. Does black spline = Conical? If so Gorilla has many versions. I even think I saw some mag seat types in chrome that were longer.
