( King 8’s w/ a LT kit ) what PSI are you guys running in 2nd gen 4wd dbcb’s and is it safe for me to adjust with regular air, play with it for a few days and then refill with nitrogen after I find the right PSI ? I have a high pressure pump for my mtb shocks so I can add clean air by hand vs risking wet shop air...

 

I had 2.0 King’s w/ resi valved for the stiff springs and didn’t help. It seems like the light duties are too light and the heavy duties are way too stiff. I literally had a plate bumper, topper, and a 550lb tire in the bed and it still rode like my 1 ton work truck.

I've hit my shocks with 100 psi shop air for a few days until I was able to get over to my buddy's house. I haven't had an issue.

So you know where I'm coming at. My resi's typically always spray a very fine fog like mist whenever I drain them every few years. My coilovers are 14 years old and last changed the seals 8 years ago.

 

I don’t think it was designed to compete with the DMz kit, nor do I think it’s close to as good as the DMz kit. But I think it’s far better than 95% of the soa setups. Which is what it really should be competing with. I think what holds it back from becoming popular there is the lack of lift.

 

I totally agree with that, but with the lift I figured it had a similar mentality of lift like the LT kits do...wonder if I will get more lift with the dmz kit comes on?

That is true though, when it comes to soa set ups, not one even remotely interests me.
