I hear ya. I had a trip to Parker AZ last month for the off road race there. Really wanted to go till I got to grapevine and started over into LA. Then it hit me.

I'm going to be working at lockerman canyon we start April 10th ish I guess. Not sure yet. It's going to be an ice rink.
Also have a job in canyon dam and round valley. I really want the cow creek and round valley side. There's gold there!

I’m always out at Lockerman Canyon and Canyon dam. You’ll probably see the runner at one point this spring then. It’s going to be a sloppy mess for awhile.

I got my Christmas tree last year in Locherman Canyon. Is that your Runner? I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

That’s me. Our house is right off 36 and always out front when I’m there. Pretty easy to spot amongst towns vehicles.

I think it's funny that the spelling of lockerman or locherman are both used. Even on our timber harvest plans they're both in there.

Oh boy, a easily spotted target! :)
Sounds like later this coming week, weather forecast per TV 1 to 2 feet of snow at 4,000'. Ive been shoveling snow from piles, out into our private road to melt, making room for more I guess. Shoveled it off the apron to my garage to begin with, moving it again now. Only fired the snow thrower up twice this year, should have used it more to blow snow instead of me shoveling. Threw a belt, thought I had it shred, then thought it was stretched, but how could it stretch that much, then got my flashlight out and I didn't have it on the bottom pulley properly. Works again. Cantankerous Tecumseh engines, good motors but like their gas to start, even with a warm engine. Fiddled with the plug, then got it to restart the other day, should know by now not to cut the throttle back too much or fast when cold.

Hurry up Duane is cloudy and looks questionable in Paradise. Was great yesterday but looks like it's rolling in from the West.

Just got in from a o/n bping trip with the Repo dog, foggy this morning, got to use one of my older stoves this morning, it's only 99 this year. About 27 out. Heard a turkey gobble some when I got up, same as a few weeks ago when we were a mile in another direction.

I bought my Tacoma in Oroville, my mom still lives there (in the nicer part) I'm up there at least once every couple of months. Love the camping and hiking up there and the open shooting range. Clay pit makes a mess of the truck but will do when I'm craving a little off road action, I live in SF now for work and miss the country.

I too grew up there. I actually say I grew up in Wyandotte or Dunstone. It was nice out there when I grew up.
Awe yes the clay pit! Great times there. Used to wait till the summer or spring rains and do the mud thing. Then I got smarter and only go when it's dry. It's nice they have rocks to crawl on now and some large washes to wheel through. Oh the memories!

I lived up there for a while in the Miners Ranch area. That clay can be a pain to get off the underside.

Probably going to head up soon to de-winterize the house for spring. Was waiting out that last storm. Snows pretty much all gone except higher elevations.

I’ll report back after once I head up.

I love that area. Used to ride my bike to the saddle dam and fish after school most days. Great area! Lots of gold in that area too!

Last of the snow melted off my place a couple days ago, here in Meadow Valley. Elev. just under 4,000'. Can go cut firewood again, but have to deal with two trees I had a Feller fell yesterday. Hauled five truck loads so far to my burn pile. At least one more to go.

Couple inches in my pups pen o/n, snowing off and on today, not accumulating. Repo and I backpacked up to Rock Creek CG Saturday, just below Deanes Valley CG, clear there except around the one spot I usually stay at, the picnic table was surrounded by snow. I wore my boots expecting some snow, could have worn my trail runners. Have not been out on my dirt bike to explore yet to see how far down the snow is. When Spring hits, I'm over whelmed with too many things to do that all seem to need doing NOW!
Packing up for a camping trip to Death Valley with some other stovies.
