Why would you consider it less than ideal when it’s a fairly common setup on LT rigs?

Yeah we ran it through a planner. Should have a photo of it in the write up. Was the easiest way to make the cuts for the shims square.

Im sure its still in the shop. Wouldn't be hard to cut some more next time im done there.

because you end up bumping most of the last half of your travel. The ideal setup is to hydro bump off of the UCA. This means you can set the bump to actually only bump the last 2'' of travel. This is problematic for a few reasons:

    1) you can't bump off a stock spindle, you'll need fully fabbed spindles
    2) fitting the bump up that high is tricky unless you cage the whole motor.

Bumping with a hydro off the LCA even when shortened to 2'' stroke still means you are bumping the last 4-5'' of travel. This makes shock tuning hard and also often means you are constantly in you bumps even just driving around town. This is due to where they are mounted close inside the swing of the suspension vs out on the end of the swing on the UCA.

Many people with LT run rubber bumps for this reason and instead run secondary triple bypasses to help tune the bump zone with the rubber bump better.

For anyone running the whiteline LCA bushings, are you torquing the cam bolts to factory specs or over? I should be getting the truck back from the alignment shop and want to make sure nothing slips.

And which bumps are those? Both sides of the lca or just the front?

Over crowded. Hydros are not needed in the front. A lot of us 1st gens just run regular rubber bumps in the front. Plus it saves you some money.

Factory spec or thereabouts should be plenty to keep them from moving around. A little loctite will help as well. Think I set mine right at 100 ft-lbs.

Both sides, don't do just one. I have one super bump and one OEM on per side.
