    Hi.

Been busy AF. Not gonna slow down for a couple more weeks. Driving out to NM next week to work a legit pro race. Totes exxxcite.

I know she creeps here at TW, but not sure if she's made her way here yet. Well...she probably has. We're gonna have a new member in the ATX crew soon. Trying to figure out how to get her in touch with #Chadillac and @Texoma.

@ChadsPride i need to get you some TTC $$.

@ChadsPride what ditch lights are you running? I'm looking at some side shooters and I thought that's what you had and wanted an opinion.

    PM'ing now.

Wifey - no, she's hanging onto her Avalon (by the way...fuckin' Avalons. everything maintenance related on that car is over the top difficult). New girl is a Texas convert. She was involved in an unfortunate accident just before moving here and is awaiting her new Taco.

Correct! The Rigid industries side shooters. I run mine with Amber covers and they rock.

I get all my rigid products through this guy.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/killer-deals-on-rigid-lights.396993/

He's saved me a lot so far. Try him out for a quote.

His warehouse is in TX so it makes for some fast shipping

    IMG_20171102_092455.jpg

Old pic but it shows the pattern. Those are the side shooters and Morimoto fogs only.

On SOS no trim ditch brackets if anybody was wondering.

I was planning on ordering through Rago Fabrication most likely but wanted to see what kind of pattern they threw. Also considering doing the raptor style marker lights behind the grille. Thanks!!!

    Overlanding Rig
    Morning Ya'll.

So after spending a few hours yesterday detailing the rig and getting rid of all the mud from Sunday I started searching for some new detailing products to help with the process and low and behold in my inbox from Chemical Guys was this new product:

    https://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guy...11&sr=8-3&keywords=chemical+guys+tough+mudder

I went ahead and ordered a 128oz jug and will give it a shot with my foam cannon and use it in my two bucket wash method. I'm helping a neighbor in one of his hay fields this weekend pull a trailer that's been stuck out there for a few weeks so i'm sure the Tacoma is gonna get muddy. I'll report back what I think of this stuff.

Here is a video showcasing the product for anybody curious. The OCD detailing freak comes out of me watching the guy begin to hand wash the panel by hand at around the 6:15 mark. He goes over the same area several times which is a "NO! NOOOOO!!!" in my book. He is discussing preventing scratches and swirls and going over a panel several times like that especially from bottom back to top "can cause" said swirls and scratches. :sadviolin: ........to most of you I know its not something you care about but I love my truck looking its best on and off the trails. :D

Forgot to post this a couple of weeks ago. But growing up in Norman, OK ive had a bit of a forced hatred towards Austin. After spending last weekend driving around Austin and its surrounding areas I have an entirely new appreciation for it and take back anything negative I may have said in the past.

The mods have probably changed since last update.
Damn they actually did lock the thread. A real shame, it was starting to get really good. Need to let that play out for the greater good of TW.

Man I hate that I missed this! Have to catch everyone at the next meet. Was hanging with a buddy who wasn't from Austin this past weekend so couldn't make it. But this reminds me of the conditions at Bastrop back in February when everyone was freezing their nuts off.

Id vote for closed shackles at each of the points of connection. I havent had to pull anyone out, or be recovered myself as of yet, but when it happens, this is what we will do.

There is a large group of us heading out to PINS otherwise id bet there would be more joining you.

Side shooters are the jam! Out in the dark places of the world, they provide killer amounts of light. There are 3 LEDs on the side of each one (they are marked as Left and Right to ensure you get the side shot on the correct side) and those LEDs throw off a good amount of light directly to your left/right from the truck... like perpendicular. I opted for spots and so when aimed right, the spots give you visibility to the left and right and far enough ahead to be helpful when going at speed. The side shooters fill in the ditch to your direct left or right side with enough light to be useful but not as bright as the spots.

It'd have to be somewhere other than the racetrack. I could easily live there. Lol
