Have you guys done any fertilization or aeration for lawns yet? I feel like it's too cold still. Waiting till probably end of April. What about you guys? Anyone already done it? I use 'Milorganite' fertilizer, that stuff is like lawn magic.

My front lawn currently looks like a war zone...

To answer your question, no, but you should be ok to aerate at this point, I have seen signs start popping up for people offering it.

What do you use for weed control? a pre-emergent or post-emergent solution?

    What hasn't been modified?
I think so. A quick trip around the block I dident hear any grinding.

Monday I finished filling the front diff and reinstalled the skids.
    Thanks again for the help!

Pre emergent which is why I want it down ASAP. It may actually already be a bit late but the nursery was out of the product I like to use until they get restocked on Wednesday.

I never aerate. It destroys the plant, exposes the plant roots around the destroyed plant to the air, which dries the root out, and destroys sprinkler heads. Grass is so amazingly resilient that it survives such destruction. Fertilizers can penetrate the soil without aeration holes. The only positive thing I can think about for aeration is that it provides jobs. Think about what naturally creates holes in the soil. Worms! What do worms eat? Mulch. So feed your lawn worms by mulching. Feed your lawn twice a year (now before a big rain and in october before the first snow) with your favorite fertilizer. Water your lawn as needed. When your lawn becomes thick like Augusta National, the weed seeds have a hard time penetrating, thus less need for weed control.

So like a 3k mile oil change, this is another industry gimmick that caught on? I dunno, I've lived in my home for 3 years now. I aerate every spring and haven't seen any negative effects, on the flip side I never tried forgoing it and seeing how the season goes.

I agree with a lot of that, but at the same time my lawn is basically grown on a bed of clay. If I dont aerate the ground becomes super hard-packed very quickly.

I was contemplating that. My brother (lives in Arizona) knows about this stuff. I'd have to fly him in.

(Lack of Cash flow) + newborn + (second job) +(WTF is free time anyway?) ≠ finished basement.

    In due time.

#EAF would be a CVT RTT on top with 8 lightbars and a #heeepinstagram sticker on front bumper
