I am seeing that, I am wondering HOW to take advantage of that. Most of the investors that I read advise against it, they have more of a buy and hold strategy while people are wigging out.

I am reading The Intelligent Investor, and it is very anti-speculation.

I gotcha. Yeah it's pretty hard to anticipate such swings. Pretty much have to ride the momentum one way or the other, but you never know how long it will last in either direction.

I guess if there was an easy answer nobody would have jobs and would sit at home trading all day.

Trying to time the market based on anything, emotion and speculation included, is a losing bet. Trying to buy the lows and sell the highs will more often than not leave you missing the lows and missing the highs. Time IN the market is far more valuable than timing the market.

I wanted that to be a winner so bad. Had a good chunk of money in there and had to sell off

when did you buy/sell? It looks like it's been on the downtrend.. I'm just playing up the politics of it. Legislation going after guns almost always results in a spike in sales.

Good logic, but maybe fear could be having a negative impact?

the market fears are certainly dragging them down, plus many hedge funds dropping them... yet they haven't been affected as much as I would have expected. New background check numbers are in, and they are increasing. The quarterly reports will look favorable to them next call. I would be very surprised if the news was on the contrary.

Daytrade or swing trading is the only way to go right now IMHO

Bought MRO at open, sold at close. Easy $190.

Man, this market is literally so predicatable. Just play their little scam game.

Bought 100 shares of PSEC at close today. Low risk swing trade. Will sell tomorrow morning at open if it gaps up.

This market isn’t even trying to hide what’s its doing. Sad.

I bought into the most “aggressive” Select portfolio today, it is funded but will take 48 hours or so to get set up. I am excited to follow it. I want to do some of my own trading too, but I’ll start with much lower amounts.

What a shocker, futures are -300. Gee, after a +400 point day, who would have thought

Time to buy at the end of the day today
