my truck shakes!

hello all!
a month ago i purchase a new 2017 taco SR5 4x4 V6 and i love it! only 27 miles on it. because it was a left over, i got a good deal on it too~

within a week i noticed the truck started to shake as i applied the break - the body - no shaking in the steering wheel or break pedal. shaking was noticed when breaking at low and high speeds. got it in for service and they balanced all 4/wheels.

later that day it started up again - the same problem as before but only when breaking at high speeds - again no shaking in the steering wheel or break pedal. took it back for a second service and they replaced both front rotors.

well it's still there - body shaking while applying the break at high speeds and now at low speeds again.

dealerships' at a loss so they're arranging for a regional toyota rep to check it out. i'll follow up afterwards but until then, anybody got any thoughts??

Holy cow! I literally came here to post the same exact question about my 2018 TRD 4X4 OR. I am a long time Tacoma guy (this is my 4th) and I always thought Toyota rotors must suck because after 30-40k miles my trucks would shake you to death trying to stop until you had the rotors turned. The only way I solved that on my old Gen 2 was to replace the rotors with drill/slotted ones and after that they were perfect up til I traded the truck for my 18. Heck, even my wife's 2012 Camry and our old 04 4Runner did the same thing.

HOWEVER- What I feel in my 18 with barely 1500 miles is not the rotors, IMO. I especially feel it if going at a decent highway speed and stop halfway quickly OR when lightly applying the brakes coming up to a stop. Drives me insane!

I wonder if it's a booster shudder or driveshaft shudder if it's not felt in the steering or brake pedal, that is manifesting itself down the frame?

 

My 17 with 8k miles has the same issue.

 

I have it too. First noticed it at about 2k miles on my 18 Sport 6MT.

 

My 17 does not have the shakes,but it did have 7 other problems,it seems the problems never end for some of the trucks.Luck of the draw I guess.

 

2018 TRD Sport 4x4. I have the exact same thing. Started at about 1000 kms.
