Thanks! Those are my lobster eyes, one light points straight one points down, and they move on bumps. Probably will get to them when I put on a winch bumper ha

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
I’ll have some by June, but I’m going with the 285/75/17 CXT.
The tire shop that I go to say they’ve installed a lot of them and everyone really likes them.

I have a auto, I would regear for sure with 33s. I want to reheat with 32s, I also truck up some steep shit, and can not get any wheel spin in 4lo floored. I think the autos get destroyed because of being worked to hard.

    Bu
I would not run a 235 on a 8in rim, unless it never leaves pavement or gets aired down. Blowing the bead is defiantly expected. Just think about the only thing keeping the bead seated is air psi caused by outward force. 235 is only 8.5 or 9 in wide, at least mine are.

I've been looking, and will continue to so, but I'm looking for information whether Dick Cepek EC 255/85R16's on 16" TRD PRO (MY 16-18) wheels will rub with a 2-2.25" lift, JBA UCAs and 3-3.2* of castor. I was originally going with Cooper ST Maxx but now am trying to decide between them and the DCEC.

    Edit- 16" TRD PRO wheels are 16x7, +13mm (4.5bs).

Here's my KO2's 255/75/17. Only put 15 miles on them so far so no real impression. I have not noticed a drop in power as of yet.

I did have some rubbing with the rear mudflap, but that is it. I have a full 3" of lift right now though. We will see in a month or so after settling. I haven't had it in a real offroad situation yet either, so a real tire stuff may have additional issues. I removed the stock flaps, and haven't rubbed since. I would like to retain a mudflap though, so I am going to modify stock and/or aftermarket.

    I'm looking for C load with winter snowflake design. Either a 265/75 16 or 255/80 16

    Who makes them with both???

Well that sucks a bit....I have Rokblokz mud flaps and can't remember if they stick out as far as the factory ones or not. Where exactly was it rubbing?

My experience so far with my build. I went with full OME kit from headstrong offroad. I used the 887 coils which are supposed to net 3". I haven't taken actual after lift measurements. I have SPC UCA's, but wanted to go with the JBA originally. Honestly i saved a couple bucks and just went with SPC because it was an option with the full kit from headstrong. My tech that installed liked how easy they were to adjust. I also like the idea of being able to adjust my castor instead of fixed. The JBAs, have some great numbers and customer service is top notch from what i've seen. That is why i wanted to originally go that route. I also wanted the ST Maxx at first, but my friend at the tire shop said he would recommend the cepeks to coopers. I have been extremely impressed with the cepeks and they have a $100 rebate until May 15th. Ultimately I spent $650, instead of $1000 and with the rest of the build I needed to save where i could. I think my wheels are 16x7.5 with a 4.5 bs. not sure of the offset, maybe -12.

I rubbed my rear mudflaps and that was it. I also have a VSC issue after alignment, but the shop that installed the lift wanted to re-torque everything yesterday and their OBD2 reader was able to reset the VSC.

I have a few threads that I used to answer my questions before the build. I wish I knew how to link you directly to them. But if you go to my posted threads there is some good info there.

If you have any further questions feel free to send me a message. I don't have experience, but have months of research through this forum before my build.

It was the mudflap on the rear of the front fender well. There is a rounded (molded) piece that sticks out past the bolts that mount the flap. I have heard of the rockblocks from a couple people. In my help after install there was a link to some universal aftermarket that i may look into as well.

Ahhh that's makes sense. I have a CBI front bumper so that won't be an issue.

edit- I see...derp. I will have Rokblokz oversize tire flaps when I switch tires/wheels so there will be nothing in the wheel well.

Not the little wanna be flap at the front of the fender. Mine is the actual mud flap on the front tires. I wish i would have taken pictures before i removed them, but could take some when i get home. They will still have the marks on them. A bumper wouldn't solve the issue though. If you have weight though (bumper, winch, skids, etc) i think it is recommended to go with an 886 coil which may be more lift than you originally wanted. i think they are supposed to net around 2.5 with 200lbs+ constant weight.

Thanks for the additional information. The one thing I noticed about the Cooper ST Maxx was that they were spendy so if I can save a few bucks going with the DCEC then that may be another plus to them.

This is my truck for reference...

From a practical perspective a mud terrain doesn't sound like its for you because
    a) highway driving
b)mud terrains are not good snow tires

Unless you're a mallcrawler and want them for looks
