    Look, i can forgive a bit of hyperbole with the Tacoma from the negative nancys but that is a ridiculous statement. Maybe you have fat tires, a big lift, and slam the pedal to the floor but my combined mileage is over 21 mpg.

    I ended up doing it and getting a Tacoma! It feels good to actually be in love with the vehicle I drive again. I ended up opting for an SR5 4x4 because the higher price of the TRD off road and it's features I'd never actually use. Got it in blazing blue with the dark rims.

    Im averaging 18mpg, so it's exactly what it's rated at. Drives better than my subaru did. Thanks for everyone's input!
