Ok so heres the 09 Taco. I just ordered a clormatched white grill for it yesterday, im wanting to order an ebay special billet grille and paint it black, the only thing is i cant decide if I want to go for the one that leaves the logo or the other one that doesnt?? I had this idea of getting the one that leaves the logo showing paint it black and then take the toyota logo and painting it the same black as the billet grill to give it that all black look with out having to do any cutting. or would that look totally dumb, im open to any and all suggestions Thanks:)

Most will say to cut it out.
i found cutting is a big pain, and like the look just fine without cutting and mounting to the stock grill, no dilling, no cutting just screw it on.
i bought a chrome one from a Toyota Nation member, but now have a Grill craft, and still left the OE grillin tact.
I would sell it to you, but I used the hooks from the billet grill to install my grill craft so i wouldnt have to do any drilling or cutting.
If you could buy the hooks, you could have my billet. its not mint, but since you are planning on painting it, it would look fine. Heres a pic of it installed.IMG_0074.jpg

Well, the picture in my previous post is a Brightlines Billet.
But yeah I got the Grillcraft mesh and bought the cheap after market grill surround( so it has the black insert). i bought some stainless bolts and nuts, and used the squared S hooks with a hole on one end to hook on the back of the stock grill. you cant use the stock Toyota T emblem this way though.
It sticks out a little on the bottom center, and might try to find another S hook, to pull it in so it sits flush. Sorry not the best pix here:0512001329a.jpg0512001329_0001.jpg

My pleasure. i certainly have wasted some money trying to figure out what I want to do... by the time its all said and done, I will probably have a grill for everyday of the week

    1. - Stock Color matched Grill ( came on the truck)
    2. - Cheap after market Grill( gray but not color matched)( paid about $50
    3. - Used Chrome Grill that I cut the center out of( bought from TW member, and is not in as good of condition as seller said)( paid about $60)

    • - Used Brightlines Billet Grill($40)

    • - Black Grillcraft Mesh($140 from TW member)

    • - and have a nice piece of Stainless mesh that i hope to make a grill out of someday( will use the Grill Craft grill as a template to cut it)( free from a friend)

Another thing to keep in mind, is the color of your inner shell.
If you have a brighter color than the black grill, it shows up behind the grill more. so if your new color matched white grill has a black inner shell, it shouldnt look too bad( like mine ) but if you have the painted gunmetal grey innershell, and use a black billet grill, it may not look as good as black.
