    installed an OEM trailer brake controller for the Ford, installed easy and then i accessed the ECU and made the changes to activate the options on this vehicle. Getting a fault for the TBC at start up. Some diagnosing i am not getting power to the brake controller, trace back to the fuse panel under the hood not having pins ready. So Ford put the trailer package and HD towing hitch/wiring but did not install a fuse panel for the TBC to be able to be used. :bananadead:

    thankfully not my money. The trucks been great but just a weird option. But i thoroughly enjoy being able to add any/all options i wanted to from Ford. Also being able to access the controls and programming is a huge plus to change minor things.

    looked to me like they were pulling it backwards up hill ? also looked like the driver didn't put it in neutral and release the brake... just before the rear axle folded under the vehicle, I could hear several TINKS! like the U bolts snapping.

    Not enough to have a build thread.
    So quick question regarding lifting the front of a tacoma (or any IFS vehicle for that matter) - from what I've read, you dont want to lift more than 3" in the front due to CV binding. Or is that just boot rub issues?

    It seems to me that it doesn't really matter how high your lift makes you sit, as long as you stay within a certain amount of travel, specifically downtravel, you should be ok, right? Or am I missing something?

    AFAIK most lifts are going to increase your CV angle. Yes you can limit your down travel, but at some point you will end up with 0 down travel and it will ride like shit. Or you can just go LT, all the cool kids are these days.
