I agree with the hopfather 24 hours to settle and cool (and reabsorb any co3”2 that might come out of suspension or settle yeast that might be drying the Beer out).

Of course I drink warm beer all the time because I can’t wait but usually it’s one of a sixer or something.

That quad took off a bit vigorously, when I stopped by last night...


The airlock was in the sink. I didn't add any brown sugar or candy syrup to it yet. It's at 1090, so may forego the sugar and just add the D2 syrup to the primary when it allows down.


I also pulled the Czech pils out for a 2 day diacetyl rest. I'll brew a dark Czech Lager on that yeast cake. I will also rack the IPA and do another on that yeast cake.

Has anyone tried this Nogne O Dark Horizon? My local ABC has it for $37 a bottle. I guess its 16% and hard to find. I passed for now, but may loop back around and grab it. Also scored a pack of KBS

 

If it's the one I think it is, it's not worth it. That money is much better spent on a 4pack of Dogfish Head World Wide Stout with oak and vanilla
