    Nice rig man, congrats.

I might try to convince my dad to get one of these when he's done with his Sierra.

Thanks! It is called "lead foot". I was set on magnetic until I saw it.

    Thanks!

Out of all the full sizes, I thought the Fords made the most sense.

Seems like it! I think the Tundra would benefit from a refresh and adding in turbo'd v6 option(s).

Meh... Ford showed you can still keep a good ole naturally aspirated V8 relevant and just as efficient as the twin turbo’d V6. The newly tuned 5.0 is still giving the Ecoboost a serious run for it’s money. The Tundra does need a refresh though. Even if they kept it the same, increase the capacity to leave the other half tons in the dust. If they did that, rate it higher, i’d give it a look even in its current state.

Generally, the EPA estimates are a lot closer to what you can actually get across the board now. They’re a little ambitious but not much. The EPA numbers are actually attainable. Problem with the ecoboost is though, once they’re in boost, the MPGs drop off very sharply.

Taking down the deer fencing around my hemlocks today. Going to try to sweep the gravel off of the driveways too. Problem is there are still some snowbanks and I am not sure if the ground is dry enough where I won't rip the grass up.....Oh well, just happy to have non-snow related work.

I think the back end of the Fords looks great. I wish they color matched the grill on the non-Lariat sports, I'd like it better if it were a match. Could always do that if it ends up bothering me enough.

It does, that's why I went for it.

It's technically "magnetic", so if I had gotten a magnetic truck it would match. In some lighting/angles, it's close enough where it looks like it matches. In others, it looks black.

USED to. He's not an employee there any more; he runs his own shop now. And he actually told me specifically not to order parts there, because the markup is absurd (something like 100% or better). Told me to order them from ebay, iboats, Amazon, etc. because they're lots cheaper than any local marine shop is likely to be.

No trade set up on the truck yet; I'm still prowling for 3/4 tons but have more or less moved on from diesels. I'm kinda-sorta haggling with a sales guy on a Ram, but the numbers I'm giving them and the numbers they're coming back with aren't even close so it's more for my amusement than anything right now. Doing the same thing with an F250 over at the local Ford dealer, and so far their #'s are closer to mine. Same county, at least, if not the same neighborhood

Edit- of course, if a good deal on a diesel springs up, I'll still jump on it, haha!
