Mine on the 16 are identical to the 2 Gens....They are the same boards... They do not stick out as far as the other one (see my post above).. These ones stick out about 1 3/4", not 4 1/2" like the other one.

EDIT.... I see that gpb's pic now shows his boards stick out a little over 2"...NOT 4.5"

Correct, they extend about 4.5" from the door sill and about 2" from the outermost part of the door. I'd used the sill as an easy to show measurement since the sill is fixed and visible with the boards.

Sorry if that made things unclear.

So, they are almost the same; however, yours sticks out farther than mine apparently.... I now feel so embarrassed..:censored:.. I'm not showing mine in public again..!!

LOL, it isn't how far it sticks out but how well it gets the job done. :D

Man I'm really leaning towards saving the money and grabbing the gen 2's. I can get them from my local dealership for $308...

I'm undecided on which board to get. I like the looks of both the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen boards. The 3 gen gives more protection and looks more modern like a factory ford raptors board. I like the price tag a whole lot better of the 2nd Gen. Those 3rd Gen boards are very pricey. I don't like the rock chips I'm getting even with factory mud flaps installed.

Handful of people in here running the 2nd gen OEM steps on their 3rd gen. I can't get all 6 bolts to line up. Is there a trick? Seems like it may be bent from the factory. I'm kinda in a pickle if so. The dealership didn't guarantee fitment because the Vin doesn't match, the computer says only 2nd gen. I told them to order anyway. I see many if you with them. This could get frustrating.

Yes, those are them. I had all the bolts loose. Front one isn't going in no matter what. I spent an hour under there. If the bracket is bent, the dealership is just going to say they didn't guarantee fitment.

You can see a slight bend in the bracket. Maybe they'll be cool. I appreciate your help.

I may drill the bracket and make it a touch wider. It will have to be tomorrow. Thanks again.

I think I paid a little over $300 for mine from my local dealer a couple weeks ago. I'm happy with them. I had them for 13 years on my 2nd gen, they still looked new when I traded it in. I wished I had removed them prior to.
