Yeah, i regret not doing that last spring..but maybe was a good thing as one would be broken now ha

But TRS doesn't do as big a discount anymore.

I'd like to do this as improving lighting will be on the list before winter as well. Might wait for later and just repair the stock light I have right now.

LED H4s are finally becoming not stupid as well by putting a built in cut off for the low beams so that may be an option as well.

No doubt projectors have a cool factor about them but there is another option these days. That is running higher powered holgens in unmodified OEM housings. There are two catches to this option. One is (the big one) the stock wiring can't handle the power draw of the bulbs I am referring to. The 2nd draw back, is the high powered bulb have short lifespan. The good news in this plans is, the bulbs are relatively inexpensive at about $10 each and there are at least two wiring kits options available for ~$90.

Here is a thread with way more detail on this upgrade:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-headlight-upgrade-h4-not-led-or-hid.398066/

FWIW, If I had known about this before I got my retrofits, I probably would have gone this route. The light output and beam pattern is supposed to be very, very good.

Those LED's we discussed in the 1st gen thread is the route I will be trying since projectors don't do well in go fast trucks, and that's my ultimate goal. LMK how that aluminum radiator does, I hate the plastic tops and bottoms on ours.

Thanks for the info. I'll read into this this afternoon.

I am certainly more on the route of just buying some offroad lights as I can run those on the highway out here fairly safely. Plus I have a bumper now to mount lights too.

    Hopefully those work out well!

I've read good things about the radiator. 3 core instead of 1. Im just hoping the new shroud fits.

Hey Blackdawg, I saw you bought fox 2.0 performance shocks for your Frankenstein in the earlier parts of this tread. Any idea on the part numbers? Tried ordering them through ORW, and they claim FOX changed the part numbers. At least they did after the wrong ones showed up at my door. Now they are giving me the option of 8 inch or 10inch, but .....hello 04 Tacoma's have different size shocks for each side.

I do not run Foxes on Frankenstein. I do on Igor(this truck in this build thread)

I bought mine used so Im afraid I don't have the PN. But I do know that mine are different length for OEM use. One is 8'' and one is 8.5''

I will dig up the FS thread i bought them from to see if the PN is in there.
