Running quad 400hp OB's won't net you too much better mileage than that, at WOT.

There is actually one huge advantage to multiple outboards, joystick steering.

If you lived in Florida and boating was all you did I can understand it, especially if you have the cash. It looks like you gain some awesome control over the boat. I've seen people waste money on dumber things I guess.

Sounds fun! If I ever hit one up I'll probably wait a month or two for some decent weather.

I really wish they would do driver's license retesting.. there are some people out there that should NOT be on the road. For example the idiot in the left lane on 95N this morning doing 45mph with his left blinker on who proceeded to cut far right about 10 feet before an off ramp. I nearly killed him along with the 18 wheeler to the right of me.

Ricers are fun to look at and probably closer to my reality....but the old cars is what I really like to see. I'll have to make the drive out there at some point it is a few hours for me.

That's for sure! I just can't imagine the fuel, let alone the initial purchase. I'm not looking forward to fueling this new rig of mine. 40 gallon tank in that boat and I guess at full throttle it goes through the fuel pretty good. Previous owner said it would easily need fuel every day when he was using it with his family on vacation. That's over $100 a day.

Yeah, ricers don't do it for me. I get the appeal, but they don't hold my attention at all beyond making an annoying sound.

Ouch. The fact that it holds 40 gallons is definitely not a good sign, lol. That's usually an indicator that you're calculating your fuel economy in gallons per hour instead of miles per gallon.
That is one advantage of a smaller boat and a smaller outboard; I can putz around on the lake all day with the 5 gallon tank in the boat and a spare as backup. But, it would be considerably less comfortable in salt water, and I wouldn't want to take it too far out. Compromises...

Edit- Of course, it could be worse. You could be fishing in vintage style and burning 3gph just cruising!
