    Were the deer neckid?

My wife and I went to a meet & greet with Uncle Ted, he was talking about doing a demo for his kid’s parents day in elementary school. He showed a bunch of 6th graders how to gut and skin a deer.

I have 2 weeks of leftover vacation I have to burn up in May, so the first 2 weeks of May is my Turkey season.
Last year I had a week to hunt and it was cold, foggy and miserable Turkey weather.I was out every day and got nothing.

I can get 3 on private land, so if I get one early with the 870, I'll switch gears and use my black powder shotguns.

I had a first at work the other day. I took down a paper machine. Luckily, they were able to get it back up in less than an hour.

@ImpulseRed008 Meeting was very informative and interesting. I learned what my pension formula is including my multiplier determined by class of service, how to maximize my FAS, and how to choose the correct option for my personal situation. Very interesting how many options available.

I can see turkeys every day, but when it's my week the flock is not around, o-well it happens.
I love this time of year. Watch large groups of deer in morning. Listen to the turkeys, geese, ducks and sandhill cranes. Sometimes all at same time.

I heard the feds were doing early retirements and buy outs. But those come and go....of course the buy outs are little more than the blankets they traded to the Indians and the early retirements are at a reduced amount.

    Watching Green Bay news
Because of snow days the Green Bay school district doesn't want to add days to end of school year. So, to meet hours requirements they're adding 3 minutes to each school day.
What a joke. Extra 3 minutes of cellphone time.

No early out @ the State level but I would certainly consider it if there was.

Good morning folks. Headed out to a couple sites with the archaeologist this morning. Seems some of the public dumped a bunch of crap at an arc site that now needs to be cleaned up and I have the remnants of an old gold mine with a few sorted rock and gravel piles I want to take before it gets turned into a community pit...of course with the victor goes the spoils. I have to get a 40 yd dumpster in there for anything that's trash. But there are some can piles there that, if she dates them at 50 years or older, they stay.

Instructor was a State employee as well. I liked her. She came to the options, which several have a designated survivor annuitant of your choice, normally you spouse, which reduce your monthly benefit. She shared the fact that she is not choosing this option, stating she is not financing her Husband's skank he moves in after she dies! The class was rolling!

Damn ...lol the ones I went to are useless mostly , we have a different retirement system then the regular state employees. Same options on survivor stuff but that is it. We are 40 hr employees where as the regular folks are 37.5 hour so the multipliers and draw times etc are all different. They will not schedule one just for us even though the last one I went to over half were from the dept . She at least would have been funny as hell to listen to ;)

No just a grunt , we do not get break/lunch time that is why we are 40 hr employees . I think we are the only ones who are 40 hr employees but I am not positive. We are the only ones on that pension plan. Welcome to my world where they pay new hires a 3 k bonus to sign up and all us idiots that have been here get ugatz. Mind you I am aware of budgets and such but hell if you are going to give a one time for new hires how about a perk based longevity .. Yeah umm we have tired to negotiate that for a long time nope :{.
