That switch panel would be alot nicer if it had a waterproof/dustproof cover. Think how dirty and scratched that shit will get

Damn! I have to say that's a slick setup even though it's a Chevy (I've hated Chevy ever since I was a mechanic back in the 70's! If you ever worked on a Vega you know what I mean:puke:)

I can imagine some shit heads wanting to mash the buttons while it’s left in a parking lot. I’m guessing it has to be only in with ignition.

Snorkel looks a shitload better than the tacoma offerings...

also, as cool as it is, that switch panel is gonna get trashed in offroad settings with mud and dirt.

Plus I'd expect nothing less than for some dickhead to come by while you are in the grocery store resupplying, press a switch to see what happens, and dump all of your water onto the asphalt...

"Chevrolet declined to confirm the report but the concept was equipped with off-road bumpers, extended fender flares and AEV beadlock wheels with 35-inch BF Goodrich KM2 Mud-Terrain tires. The truck also sported LED auxiliary lights, underbody skid plates, a bed rack and a snorkel. Rounding out the highlights were an ARB refrigerator, a Warn winch and a built-in air compressor.

While the Colorado ZR2 isn’t a slouch off-road, the company installed a revised suspension which included specially tuned Multimatic DSSV shocks and long-travel rear leaf springs. The suspension also had high-angle tie rods, plunging front half-shafts and a high-angle upper ball joint.

Unsurprisingly, all of these components won’t carry over to the production model as the report suggests the Colorado ZR2 Bison will eschew the snorkel, bed rack and air compressor. It’s probably safe to assume the Warn winch and refrigerator are also a no-go."

So basically, they are taking off most of the stuff that attracted the market in the first place? So then you just have a quicksand ZR2 with some big tires and then are gonna get gouged on the options package... #builtnotbought

Kinda want to fab up a bedside switch panel now though...

Probably because the dealer markup would be astronomical and no one would buy it lol. I’d bet it would be a 70k vehicle.

Doesn't stop the Raptor bros...here in UT, there is a waiting list and a hefty below the sticker add-on "demand fee" cuz they know you are gonna pay it. Just like 3rd gen tacomas in SoCal when I lived there. Dodged a bullet on that one. 10% sales tax and a 8K markup would have gotten me a $53K TRDOR

Plus if you are buying a pre-kitted rig like the Bison, you probably have the $ for a 70K truck.

When I was looking at Jeeps before I bought my Taco there were some used AEV equipped JKs that were over $70k.

I'm too much of a chickenshit to cut that big of a hole in my bedside. But send me your rear quarter panel, and I'll do it! :D:thumbsup:

I've installed a few snorkels in OTHER people's trucks

Just another mod by AEV they can claim fame to. Actually surprised they are working with GM. They were only working with Daimler/Chrysler before weren't they? For those truck bed Jeeps
