    Disconnecting the battery sets everything back to factory settings (what i was told). My stepdaughters camry wouldnt stay running after disconnecting the battery because it went back to factory settings and the throttle body had "adapted" to the build up. Once i cleaned the TB it ran like new. Im not a mechanic by any means and my wording prob isnt all correct but thats why i asked.

    Man, I'll remember your name....
    This afternoon, I've disconnected the battery for 10 min.
    Then I drove the truck 20 miles in the ranch : problem solved !!!!
    No play in the pedal, no more lag (I insist : it was a important timelag, I had to press completely the pedal before getting throttle response !)

    I just have to try on a long drive.

    I've no skills in electric/electronic, but this trick worked well !
    Truck runs great again.
