    Allpro quality...
I have both a shackle flip and a ubolt flip kit. For the flip kit someone makes an adaptor plate to work with sumo springs. I drilled out the flip kit plate and mounted the sumo springs to it.
I'll take some pics when I get back to the truck.
I'm looking at getting Chevy 63's and some limit straps.

I think they changed suppliers of their springs recently. I think their older springs came from Deaver and were pretty good. I haven't had any issues with my 1year old springs. Seems like everyone in the last 6 months or so has had problems.

This is new... I visited their shop in Montana when I picked up my rear bumper a couple years ago and they were really friendly, service was excellent... What happened???

I talked to them a few days ago. They admitted to me that they messed up and burned bridges on TW

Did you have the same thing happen to your leaf packs or was it for some other reason?

Dang, what you got loaded up in back? Your springs don't have a lot of positive arc in them either. As for the Chevy 63 mod here is a link to some guys in Florida that have that mod down well. Went back and forth with him a few times and he thought they would work out better than what I have right now. Your opinion? Also looks like you were at the very top for the bolts on your flip kit.

In that pic I have like 400-500lbs including cap (in of itself 175-200). I simply don't trust allpro. The first set of leafs I got from them, the main leaf snapped. Thats the first pic I posted here. Your correct on the bolts. I have just enough thread to catch 7/8th's of the bolt. I used thread locker to make sure nothing moves. They're 1/2" bolts and I'd like to go up the 5/8" and longer to catch the full thread.

So do you think the Chevy 63 mod would be better for dealing with the weight, especially all the armor and trailer I carry and mentioned in this post? Look at page 14 in that link I posted and see what you think about the mod.

From what I've read you can't go wrong with the 63's. I believe you'll need a limit strap unless you get a 14" shock and cage it through the bed. I currently have 12" shocks that travel just enough not to blow up. I
My goal is 12" shocks with the Ford shock tower, keep the sumo springs, 63's and keep the shackle flip. You could also look at the hammer shackle by bamf or archive garage.

From my understanding the shackle flip reduces carrying capacity of the spring but you'll want some upgrade of the shackle as you'll need to chop it out anyways. Check out @tacoma16 build thread. No 63's but he has gotten the bamf hammer shackle and they look fuckin heavy duty. It makes sense to me that a set of leafs from a 1/2 or 3/4 ton would handle weight better than some 11 ply thin leafed allpro crap. It was appealing from what was advertised but had I known the issues with Allpro I would have never even looked their direction.

haven't gotten them installed yet, hopefully this weekend!

Also, dakars are pretty sweet. After about 90k km and being very heavily loaded they still are looking decent (shape wise, not paint...).

Update: decided to order a set of dakar leaf packs. I ended up going with the EL096r pack. They say they are good for a constant 660 lb load in the rear. Wish i had ordered these a wile ago. They ended up being cheaper then the all pro packs and having free shipping too. So if anyone wants my old set pm me for details.:)
