What he said. I used Dynamat Extreme and it greatly improved the sound quality and reduced road noise in the truck. Pretty inexpensive and easy mod with a great payoff

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
You people with the sound padding... Have you been doing the inside of the door skins? Any problems with absorbing/retaining water?

I did inside and outside. No problem what so ever with water, but I also live in the desert and rain is something that we've almost completely forgotten about.

I ask because I'm in the Great White (with road salt) North and I wouldn't want that salt water hanging around any longer than necessary.

Yes. I did everything. Inside and outside of the door skin as well as the door panel. I have had no issues with absorbing/retaining water.

Changed my oil and somehow managed to break bits of plastic from the filter housing. Truck was cold and I had the oil filter socket.

Anyone know of a better aftermarket part?
    Thx.

    How about OEM?
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008BHP68A/

Our volvo had a nylon housing and cartridge filter. We sold it at 140k with no problems. It was the shape of a typical metal filter and the tool would always get stuck on there, so it was a lot of lefty and righty twisting to get both the housing and tool off.

I always use a torque wrench because with my hand feel, gutentite is never enough.

    No problem!

Just curious. Did the dealer do services on your Taco? I'm still under 10k, so that has me nervous. I did a 5k myself.

I run the OEM Aluminum housing with no problems. I installed it at 3K mi with first oil change that I did.
