For me it's nice to have the main oil injected so I can run my 4 stroke kicker off the same tank.

I used to buy the Opti oil from my friend. Being a dealer, he had various oils in 55 gal drums, just provide your own jug. Came out a little cheaper.
I initially wanted a 175 opti, but that year there wasn't one in the saltwater series. That came out the following year. I was glad I got the 150.

Only trouble I had was one head was overheating, but the temp gauge was reading normal.
Ended up being a piece of thermostat gasket was jammed in the thermostat restricting flow...and the temp sensor was on the other head reading normal.

For sure. And you don't have to deal with measuring out 2 stroke oil every time you tank up, either. No matter how hard I try it seems like I always get some on my hands, so by the end of last summer I'd started keeping some rubber gloves in the boat

Oh, I still measure out oil on the Starcraft. But the tank is 6.25 gals. so it's a small amount to deal with. But that 25hp is pretty thirsty as well.

    This is my approach!

I am definitely the type! I was planning on going, but the date got shifted around to the day after my girlfriend's sister's wedding. I'll be expected to go to the morning-after-brunch thing, so I won't be able to drive down to CT for it. Sad face.

    Hey babe, come here often?

For a while, I was getting calls daily from non-standard numbers. Sometimes they can't be blocked.

This was my last boat. Sea Ox 204D with the 150.
Lot of fish came over the side of this one.
had boats of some sort since I was a kid, but sadly, I had to let go of this one.
3rd season without one, but I'll get the itch again. Something smaller and one I can trailer. Boats really take a beating left in the water.

    Well, you're consistent, at least!

We haven't actually given ours one yet. We had the honorary nephews out on her last fall (one is 7, one is 9) and they suggested 'Betty' and 'SS Fun' as names, so the GF and I have been jokingly calling her the "SS Fun Betty" but I wouldn't be thrilled about having it on the transom, lol.

What, are you saying that having a hole in the water to pour money into gets old?

The boat talk is really giving me the itch to get mine out, but the lower lot where I stored her for the winter is still really soft.

Every time I talk to someone about spending so much money on the truck they always say something like "Good thing you don't have a boat!" "At least it's not as much of a money pit as a boat" or something similar. Y'all are crazy!

So far I think I've got a grand total of around $1200 invested in mine. $350 for the original purchase of boat, motor, and trailer, $600 for the 60hp motor I swapped on, and another couple hundred in parts, accessories, registration, & insurance.

I know people who put more than that up their chimney in oil every year. :notsure:

Once you buy a bigger boat, the saying has alway been break out another thousand.

As for a lot of Toyota truck owners that join TW, it should be bye bye pay check or get a 2nd job fast :rofl:
