It was my second time committing said sin. Is it just me or is the road/tire noise pretty extreme, even on regular tires?

I drove a 2017 liberty when my taco leaf springs were broke

I dont remember a noisy ride
7 speed auto tranny that didn't shift well to me, would go from 5 to 7 most of the time
no guts until RPMs are up but I hear new tacos are similar

You can definitely feel the quality between a TACO and a JEEP.

The Wranglers (if that's what it was) aren't designed with ride quality/noise as a priority..they can be rough on the street.

They’re loud and ride like shit, and lifted with tires and IMO they’re unbearable at that point. But people don’t buy them because they expect them to ride like a Caddie. They buy them because Jeep Bruh!

    It's not a taco.
    different cars are different.
my 1998 Dodge Durango with 254000 miles is quieter than my 2011 AC Taco with 49000 miles, both with street tires

I think theres a lot of rose colored glasses here personally

My best friend has a 2014 Rubicon Unlimited and his wife has a 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk

They're both very nice, comfortable, and no louder than my 2014 Tacoma when it comes to road noise

My friend had a Wrangler before buying a Tacoma. Apparently if you take a corner at more than 5mph, they want to tip over.

This, any stock Jeep beats the Tacoma off road, so they think it's a piece of shit...

I don’t know that this is an accurate statement.
It certainly wasn’t backed by any facts.

I used to wheel with my nephew and his new jeep. My Tacoma 305 70 17 MTR's, lifted Bilsteins, his stock. I would drag the bumpers all over the place, the Jeep, no. So yeah, a stock Wrangler would go places the Tacoma couldn't without body damage. Carry on Fan Boys, real world experience and you'll tell me I'm wrong, Ha.

My experience backs this up. 2000 Wrangler sport, 2011 access cab 4x4.

Jeep is more capable off road. Neither have any lockers, same size tires, TJ tires worn about 50%, brand new Taco tires. Both are AT's

Wife had a 2015 JK soft top for a little bit. Was bone stock, but because of the soft top was really noisy on the highway and the solid front axle rode like shit. Hitting a speed bump at an angle was suicide.
