Good luck... I've tried 3 times. 2 times at Beechmont Toyota and once at Kerry Toyota. No luck whatsoever. Your best option is a rear AAL from Toyotec which is less than $100 but then you will have lots of front rake like me. (I just did the AAL). It pretty easy to install youself as well. Or your second option is air bags which cost more. Im planning on doing the front 5100's so I dont have as much forward rake. The 5100's plus the rear AAL is about the same as the cost for the rear Air Bags.

I did:) It's like the blue one in Beechmont but cleaner and fewer miles. I also got it for 2500 cheaper than the were willing to go. :D

I'm in the same boat with my '06. Inquired with the dealer with no luck. The AAL is a cheap alternative....I guess it just gives me an excuse to get the 5100's.

I guess one of my big questions about AALs is does the extra leaf enough of a fix? Meaning, I have the other three become weaker by this point and wouldn't it be better to just replace them all?

Congrats on the new truck. You will have to come to one of our meets sometime. I dunno, I do lots of towing and hauling, so I"m sure that has weakend my factory leaf pack. But for the price the rear AAL is awesome, no rear sag, isn't rough or bumpy. The cost of a whole new leaf pack is the reason I only bought the AAL.

I've also tried here in WA. Tried with two different dealers and they both told me I am over the warranty period. So....I can either pay for them to look at it and do it or forget about it.....

My friend got his done out of warranty...even with an AAL already installed. Just depends on the dealer.

He made a thread about it in fact. His username is gtmiller1001, look it up if you like.

I spent four hours in the Dealership today and left there denied ! I did leave with an estimate for $ 1.825.84 and told to bring it back and they would take care of it. I have the 5100's all the way around . The sag and the TACO LEAN have gotten worse. They told me that the leaf springs defenitely needs to be replaced. The miles got me according to the Service Tech.

Extended warranty perhaps? I just did mine a week ago, used the extended warranty, which I was thinking was a waste of money but it worked out. Bill was $1842.60 for rear spring and overhead compass/temp display but I payed nothing and was also provided a rental.

You can do an AAL yourself for under $100, or new leaf pack for $5-600, so I wouldn't take the dealer's $1800 bid.

x2. The rear AAL took me about an hour 1/2 to install w/ a buddy, but we took our time. It was alot easier than you would think.
