Its been a while since I've had something important break, it feels like I'm due.

I did good for a long time until the sheared half shaft on Niagara Rim and the spindle this past weekend. I feel like there was something else..

 

Maybe you bent the coil?

 

Agreed, but still a chance.

 

If the shaft or rod end is bent, I'd limit those bumps with a shim. Bump stops should stop the arm before the shock is fully bottomed out.

 

Have you taken a close look at it?

was just talking to a buddy of mine that I haven't seen in awhile about taking him on a trail this weekend, he's never been. still waiting to see if he's free but either way Im up for something

Will do. Between Mojave and Gold mountain the past 2 weeks I'm not really looking to push my luck that hard, maybe something a little more low key like Pilot Rock or Cleghorn.

 

Fuuuuuckkkk this dude in the 1st gen for sale forum is selling an Elite bumper off of his 03 and he's coming to SoCal in a month. I hit him up about holding it for me if I gave him a deposit but he said he had a local buyer willing to give him $1500 for it, jesus christ.

 

I'd be in for Sunday. I have new tires and a front locker that need to be broken in.

 

I think I can do Sunday, gonna have to check with the lady when I get home tonight and make sure I didn't commit to something else already (made that mistake before) but if so then I think Pilot Rock could be fun, there's the 2N17x trail that's fairly technical and has some good offshoots for 4x4/locked stuff.

 

Might join you guys. Ill have no skids. But wouldn't need em there anyways.

 

@eon_blue Saturdays works better for me but if its Sunday I can probably still go. I got a buddy that wants to go but he can only make Saturdays. Just FYI
