I've been pretty lucky and we only had to owe once because the wife got a big raise and we didn't make adjustments for the next year. For me it's the act of doing takes. The confusion, all the fucking questions, paperwork, looking for everything, the amount of time it takes, etc, etc.

You need a tax guy. We call or visit our guy every time we have a change. He crunches the numbers and tells us what to do. I owed once when I was young, I have managed my taxes since and always gotten a small amount back. When I got married, adjusting the withholdings was the one financial thing my wife wouldn't listen to me. The first year we owed big!! I needed the outside unit to step in and tell us (her) what needed to be done. Since them smooth sailing.

All other aspects of finances we talk and work through without issue, I have no idea why taxes were different. Either way, it is money well spent.

Just booked a B&B in Alpine for me and the wifey... Going to ride through mine country and up the devil's highway for a few days on the bikes and away from the kids in June.

Now, to plan a ride to Mt Evans for me and my dad to mark the end of summer.

We had to cough up a grand on top of the 20K+ in taxes paid. Ridiculous. Especially when you know it goes to bloated programs, mismanaged departments, and entitlements.

Now that BofA is a marxist liberal pos bank, I am going to change who I bank with. Is Chase any good for personal banking?

Ryan is hovering over a plate of Asian noodles trying to consume it quickly, as he is a deprived boy. I’m watching him eat and watching his beard touch his food. So much length. I wonder if I can find a bib for his beard. #lifeofalumberjack

I used to rock a handlebar mustache and a full beard, I got sick and tired of eating my handlebars if I didn't bother to do them up with wax.

I need to perfect my recipe, I try new things always. I've only used shrimp. Next time I'm thinking about adding white fish. What's different about Ecuadorian ceviche?

Just go to chase with a mil ID or a DD214 and ask for a military checking acct. Once they set it up, ask for a free SDB. Not all branches have them, so ours is the next town over, but its all good. they'll give it to you for free, or if you want a larger one, they'll deduct the cost of the free one off of the large one.
