The radar function of cruise control on my 18 Taco can be turned off by holding the on button for a couple of seconds when engaging. Don't care for this crap either.

Tom, the vacation was really good. Enjoyed being away from the snow and cold weather. It was a cultural experience that we both enjoyed (and we didn't even have one argument).

I hate the capabilities of all electronics, not a tech geek. Give my an old radio, punch the buttons for saved stations. Just wish redial was easier on my rotary dial phones!
Had a Feller take down a snag in my front yard, 10 feet maybe from my mobile home. So it wouldn't hang up, he took down a cedar tree also, but that one had a top that could break off in a high wind or heavy snow. What a mess, hauled six pickup loads to my burn pile, torched that off yesterday, controlled burn as I mixed dry limbs with green one, some smoke, but way less than people who burn needles or leaves. Its just a low pole of cinders this morning, been stirring it up to get air to the pile. Big day today, going to try to buck up both trees up, cut them some the last two days. I'm aching, arms, legs, walk like an old man.

Tom - on the Subaru you have to turn the following feature on; the default is off. I, too, am a purist at heart but find as I get older having the extra assurances of things like the blind spot warning is helpful.

Talking about options, I delivered a 2018 Nissan Sentra to a customer today and it had an option I haven't seen in quite awhile.20180411_102733.jpg
    Car was for a company.

Both Mom and Dad passed on. Mom was sudden, dad was a long drawn out process. Both were unbearable.

    Morning all:

I bet we could convince someone that it's there to crank the radio antenna up and down for better reception!

I remember having to crawl in the back of my older 4-runners because the key in the tailgate or the switch on the console wouldn't lower the back window, that window had to be down in order to open the tailgate, bet Mike did that more than once. Then there was the spraying of the keyed up down switch on the tailgate so it would work, I don't like anything power!

I am blessed. Both my Mom and Dad are still with me; they celebrated their 60th anniversary in August of 2017.

    Looking pretty good for 84.

I would say they are both looking extremely well for that age, you must not have been too hard on them growing up!

Oh, I was very trying for them. I am the oldest of their three kids, and growing up everything that was a new experience for me (the phases of raising children) was a new experience for them too. So they sort of had to "practice" on me so that when the other two were growing up, they had it down pat.

Good morning Susan, gang, working on a cup of coffee before eating out west here.
Finished yesterday cleaning up the mess the two trees I had taken down, rounds rolled over to my property, as they had to mostly be dropped across my neighbors property. Cleaned up the sawdust also so my neighbor could use her parking spot again.
Surprise, another old camping stove received in the mail on Wednesday, this one from 1940. Works great, easily worked over areas that usually need attention. I believe I have 30 different years of the one model, verified by the date code on tank bottom.
Stoves and lanterns have been selected for the stovie campout next week in Death Valley, forecast shows temps in the upper 80's, lows around 64 there. Hope I don't dry up in the heat, only been low 60's here a day or two so far this Spring. No time to work on tanning my legs, not enough warmth here yet to worry about tan lines. :)

Duane: At some point you should post up a pic of your collection. I had an old Coleman 2 burner stove back in the 70's when I did a lot of camping.
