Anyone know of a good place to get Pelican case foam cut? Hopefully on the south side of the city.

I thought it all came pre-segmented. Neither of my cases have the foam but I am looking at getting some that do.

@JimSnell do you gave a water cooled torch setup? The cooler set up for that machine is spendy. You could weld up an aluminum bucket/tank for better heat dissipation.

Is it some special foam that a Stanley knife won't cut through? Can't just get a block of foam and cut or shape it how you want it?

Those prices seem pretty reasonable, considering what some people pack $$ wise into those cases.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I've collected all the parts to build the cooler, aluminum tank included. I haven't sprung for the torch yet. Im just concerned that the tank alone won't be enough, and ill need to add a cooler and fan.

The biggest run ill be doing is in the 30" range on 1/4" plate. The machine will run the bead, its just that the torch is unholdable after about 6".

I tried using a carving knife for my ling gun case and butchered it. It was functional but it looked like shit

The setup from Lincoln has a fan and a cooler. I can have the rep try and track down some of the individual parts.

This is from a tiny place in so cal called picfoam. They don’t even have a website. Hard foam cut with a laser. There must be somewhere up here that does the same. Otherwise I’d get cubed foam from Amazon and make my own. It is available in various thicknesses and cube sizes. I am going to build a fiddled tool box with it.
