Fortunately from what I've read when it goes bad on a boat it usually starts injecting too much oil, so you'll foul your plugs long before you run out of oil and cook the motor. Apparently with the oil injected motors (at least the carb'd ones) the oil metering is run by vacuum from the fuel pump, with a check valve regulating the flow or something like that. When the valve goes bad it just dumps oil into the motor instead of starving it*

*disclaimer- I don't know the specifics, just the generalities


And yes...I suppose it has begun. It's more than what I spent on my kayak, the gf's kayak, & my canoe combined, so...

People talking about boats being expensive?

I love mine and I’m lucky enough it’s 2 minute drive to the mooring and 10 minutes from leaving my house im sailing away from the mooring. My cost per hour of use is low, but yea prices for parts/stuff are stupid. It baffles me that a set of brand name big Mud terrains cost less than a single sail for a my small boat.

Then a hand operated winch you just wrap rope over costs 3x a Warn suited for my truck. It doesn’t make any sense less at all.

 

They are good running bikes, but most that I have seen have electrical gremlins.

Loving this truck! I feel like I've stepped into the 21st century. Android auto is really nice, and the truck is very comfortable. The 2.7 is impressive, too. Been trying to take it easy on it for the beginning miles, but 1/4 throttle in sport mode is almost alarmingly quick.

Crazy how high you sit, too. I pulled up behind a Crosstrek and could see over their roof better than I could see through the back window.

False. Anything over 75 is too hot. Really 70 is ideal

You need a new job buddy. Anyone who says things like "happy friday eve" needs a new job or life direction and you seem to have a pretty good life (wife,kids,hobbies etc...) So you need a new job so you can be content with your life.

 

I don't have a problem with "happy Friday Eve", but the "ready for another shitty day at work" is a bigger flag

The last few days have been rough...very rough. Life outside of work is ok, but at work it comes and goes. Yeah, everyone has good and bad days, but lately seems like it's been more bad than good. Working on something, waiting to see what happens, but not getting my hopes up.

 

The happy friday eve is indicative of someone who can't wait until the weekend is over and hates their week, which happens to be the vast majority of their lives. I was like this for a long time, finally have a dream job now and while I know I am very lucky, it makes it harder to watch good guys struggle to find a job they really like.
