It's cold and those long days/nights will take some getting used to.

I'll come up to visit but it'll be via plane. Not driving that again.

I remember your username and you talking about this corn based one last season also.

What’s the name of it and is it too late to apply it? Did you aerate first ?

It wasn't bad, but just a lot of driving. The way up wasnt bad since there was a lot along the way but drive south was very LOOOOOOONG and not much different to see unless you drive out to the coast which are 6+hour out and backs.

And the time/mileage/gas, you could fly up, rent a vehicle and explore for cheaper and quicker.

But I'd be happy to drive into Canada again to get to Banff and Jasper.

I only aerate in fall but I need to start doing it in the spring as well. The soil beneath my lawn is turning into concrete.

I can't remember the brand of corn meal gluten based fertilizer I buy from McGuckins but if you're the same guy I conversed with last year about it.... you were pretty unhappy with the price :)

But I have to say after 4 or 5 seasons of using it 3 times a year I literally have no weeds in my sod. I think it was two years ago one thistle popped up all summer and I freaked out, "what the hell is this?!!?" That's how effective it has been for me.

The distance between Jasper and Alaska is about the distance of Washington to Mexico... And imagine that with very little to divide up that time. All beautiful country, but.... There's a lot of it.

Have to think and plan accordingly. Wife and I have talked about possibly driving up there when she graduates in a few years.

I also want to go to Baja but would want a few rigs. Safty in numbers

Any recommendations for a tire shop in Fort Collins? I need to get 4 tires mounted onto a new (to me) set of rims.

I think the socal people and others that I've talked to said Baja is pretty safe as long as you're not asking for trouble. I wouldn't do any other parts of Mexico alone but was planning on Baja alone.

Someone who i know who's done cross continent stuff on motorcycles has a place down there and he said the only thing you would worry about is having stuff taken off a roof rack if it's not locked.

It's still on the list of things to do. Once i get the house finished I'll likely take a bit of time off probably this winter and it'll be perfect down there.

But I'd say a western US trip would be a lot more fun than the Jasper to Yukon drive since you'll get so much variety.

I hear both good and bad. More on the bad side but I don’t the most of them have been there. Just the thought That Mexico is bad. I’d agree with you, I’ve got no interest to go into the middle area of Mexico. I’d like to run part of the Baja 1000 course

I test drove one of these today. My wife doesn’t like it at all. Guess I’ll keep toying around on the Cougar. I still need to install the Pro suspension on the truck, and noticed what looks like dry rot going on, on my three year old tires.

    @CharlieCafe :boink:

I'd love to ship a vehicle to South America. But, i need to work on my Espanol since my looks won't help me much.

I do want to see the Baja 1000.. and bomb down a stretch... Or just bomb down random roads like that raptor video posted earlier.

To many people caravaning (is that a fucking word??) in Mexico/Baja is a bad thing more than it is good. Waiting for hours while Person X,Y and Z are trying to get there shit together is about the worst!

FYI I leave for Cabo next week. Should be about 7K round trip in the new to me GX. Racing, Chasing, Co driving in 339 racing (rallying) in NORRA next week.

    What’s considered to many though?
Personaly is thing about 3 rigs total wound be ideal. The more you get the more pain it is to coordinate.
