This pic is what it’s all about ... This is your marketing pic!

Kudos to you guys for coming up with a cool innovative product. Around 200 lbs seems pretty light for what it is. I love the idea of it, very intrigued.

    Couple of questions...
    1. Based on the pics you’re driving in lots of dusty/sandy conditions, how does the tent and canopy do with sealing against dust and sand when fully closed?
    2. Have you been in any rain or lower temps, 30’s and 40’s yet?

I live in Washington, it’s dusty during the summer in many places, nights can get pretty chilly, just wondering how it does with those elements.

    Thanks, nice work!

While almost nothing is completely impervious to the Baja moon dust, the camper seals well. There's a rubber gasket on all the panels, so what dust intrusion there is comes mostly from the tailgate gaps, not the camper itself. The tent/sleeping area remains dust free.

We're located in Bozeman, Montana, so the GFC has definitely seen cold and snow and rain. It was 6 degrees F yesterday :) The camper does fine. It's still a tent, so you'll need a good sleeping bag in the winter, but it won't let the rain in and the cold won't hurt it.

    Do the panels have locks?

Boy do I want to see one in person. I think $5k is a fair price, but it is still a lot of money for not seeing your purchase. Bozeman is 10hrs from Denver, when will you have a production version to show off?

How does the camper mount to the bed? On the bed rails or bed floor? Any pics?

First two production units will be done first week or two in March. They mount to the bed rails just like a topper. We'll supply a clamp or bolt kit that's truck-specific.

Was this the final set up that you found to work the best while hauling around the 300 pounds and having fun in the desert? I have a 2012 V6 TRD off road Pre runner access cab that is currently completely stock, and I am on the waitlist for the GFC platform.

I do not know much about lifts and suspension, but I do a lot of camping and off-roading in anza borrego and am looking to upgrade my suspension and lift once I get my GRC platform to handle the camper’s weight and extra camping equipment weight. I’m looking to do exactly what you did lift and suspension wise (since you pretty much have the same truck, camper, and desert off-roading I do) and I wanted to know how it has treated you so far! Any info would be appreciated!

I haven't changed the preload since adjusting it down. I experimented a lot in Baja with the compression and rebound settings though. I am very impressed with the performance of the suspension and tires. But with the BP-51s (any coil over really) you need to make sure you have sufficient droop travel. meaning don't set the ride height so high that you don't have enough down travel from ride height. The truck will ride like crap without enough droop. Shoot for at least 2" of down travel when you set the ride height. The Deaver's we're awesome as well. I'm a really light packer, so a lot of folks may want to go with the stage II U402s rather than the stage Is like I did.

As for the settings on the shocks, I messed with a bunch of variations and settled on a fairly stiff setup. Out of the 10 clicks of adjustment, with 0 being the least amount of damping, I really liked 7 for compression and rebound on the front and 7 compression 5 rebound on the rear. For the desert I think this is a good setup. Those settings work well for whoops and rain rut type terrain but don't work well on washboard roads where running that much rebound makes the truck skatey. If you only drive slow off road (under 20 mph) or only washboard, then I'd use less damping all around. But for me I liked the stiffer damping and I just aired down to 18 psi to smooth out washboard. But for smaller whoop sections the stiff settings turned what would have been 15 mph on stock suspension into 35-40 mph.

This is great info. Currently messing with settings on my BP-51. Preload set to 7mm, probably raise it up to 10mm after your feedback.

Where are you guys located? I’m moving to Everett, WA early next year and would love to purchase one and make the drive down to your shop for pick up. Great work!

I found more information on your website. It looks like I’ll be making that drive in Feb 2019! The YouTube video definitely sold me on this product. Do you have any pictures of the front and rear window for example? 08EDFECF-044D-4F67-AF9A-28C39CF5F586.jpg

In the GFC megathread they said one of the next 2 production units will have windows so there should be pics of it soon!
