This thread today may be the apotheosis of what it means to be bipolar.

    I like it.

@Iamraiderpower aren't you moving here soon? Or eventually? Looking forward to sharing some soap*.

Yeah, I lived in Sitka for 6 years growing up. If it wasn't for the long ass winters and so far away from family I would move back to Alaska in a heartbeat. Oh and the terrible mosquitos. Wife has family on the Kenai peninsula. Summers are absolutely amazing up there!

Nice, that was the one perk of the timing of my trip.. the only place i dealt with mosquitoes was in Colorado. Rabbit ears pass and Walden. Of course the trade-off was heavy wildfire smoke all the way to jasper and rain in Alaska.

Don't want to burst your bubble... But Texans have been ruining Colorado for years. You'll be just another spec of sand on the beach. :bananadance:

Just tell @YamaDirtrider that Baja is safe, make fun of someone, tell @Iamraiderpower that he's hurting delicate feelers and you'll be all caught up.

I'm looking on planning a summer camping trip. And Turquoise lake looks nice on the map.
Anyone been there? I'm up for suggestions to other lakes as well.

I think the bad stuff people hear about most is what happens in the border towns and way down in Mexico City. There's shit that happens in and around some of the tourist cities, but honestly it's been going on way longer than people realize. Social Media and accessibility to info has just brought it to the public attention. Growing up there was crazy shit that went down in TJ, but we still kept going down there and tried not to be idiots.
Most anywhere in Baja is pretty safe and the food, drink, and atmosphere is awesome

Quit poking me I'm tired :p

    Some of that ish.

Have the sprinklers re-pressurized yesterday... only to find out that we've got another freeze coming up this weekend.

    Thanks Colorado!

Man I thought I was on another level?! Or is that just according to people on the internet?
I have a bear someone can borrow if they need to show someone where I hurt them...
    Your summation is quality, sir.
Yes, yes we do. Was there in June of 2016 :D

The ground is thawed. It will not re-freeze with this upcoming storm. Just insulate your exposed above ground pipes for this weekend as a precaution.
