Hey guys, I've been looking around trying to search a little but haven't found exactly what I'm lookin for so I figured it'd be easier just to ask. I'm lookin for a new head unit for my truck, the biggest thing to me is that it will work with my ipod really well and I can control the ipod from the HU. I don't need nav or bluetooth or anything like that, so I don't wanna pay all that extra to get a unit with features I don't need, I wouldn't mind it being touch screen but like I said as long as it can control the ipod good and I can hook the ipod up in glove box like I've seen done on here i'll be good to go. Thanks in advance guys (and gals) :D

Check out the Avic line from Pioneer. Might find something you'll like. Just looked it up myself and the most price friendly one isn't as price friendly as I remembered.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Double-din, single din? How much are you wanting to spend? Do you plan on future upgrades like adding an amp or two?

Thanks to all of you for the suggestions :). I really appreciate the help, +1 comin to everyone. I'm still open to any other suggestions anyone has.

@sirsaechao: Double or single din either one is fine with me, if at all possible i'd like to spend under $200 but I know that's probably gonna be tough, and no I'll probably just leave the sound system stock.

    Stock for now
I bought a Kenwood MP345u with Ipod controls & like it alot. It was only $105 with a $20 online coupon from crutchfield & came with the metra kit & wiring harness. Kenwood also makes a couple more higher end units under $175. Much better than stock & even I could install it lol
    pics are in my gallery.

i've got an Alpine....when i picked up a couple of years back, there were said to have the best ipod controls. don't know if that has changed. overall, the ipod controls are similar to the actual ipod, although the actual scrolling is faster on the ipod. i'm pleased. spent 2 bills on the HU
