    Good Morning-

2018 DCSB OR. Obviously, I have the stock black front skid plate on the truck. I don't really have any plans on doing anything with this truck to warrant putting a different front skid plate on. I am curious though- the transfer case area to me looks extremely vulnerable to attack from anything that could pop up and hit it. Zero protection at all. Are there any skid plates out there that offer coverage for that area that do not require me to purchase and install a new front skid plate? Thanks!

Too many but also not enough mods
I would just get a new front and transfer skids. Maybe even gas skid since its flimsy plastic. Me and Skell couldn't believe how useless the gas skid was and why Toyota even bothered to add it. Aluminium skids will save weight but are more expensive and you probably need to reroute the exhaust. Its easy to do for a muffler shop.

As far as I'm aware, aftermarket skids usually need a replacement front skid to go further back, because there's a paucity of mounting holes, so they sort of daisy-chain off the front plate.

Our transfer case skid doesn’t require any other skids to be installed.

But the transmission skid (aka the 2nd one back) does, right?

    Dammit, beat me to it.

Correct. The front of that skid bolts to the back of the front skid.

Edit: that was confusing. Hopefully you understood what I was saying.

Yes, the transmission skid is the only one that is dependent. If you want our transmission skid you will need our front skid.
