They make a supernice camper for sure.

In a few years when retirement draws closer, I’d like to have one and do some traveling.

I did it on my 3rd gen a couple days ago. I just needed a bigger clamp than I had on my 2nd gen. Does having it where you put it prevent it from being removed?

I was never a huge Lucy/Desi fan, but this movie is done in dead-pan humor and is FF.

I got the mount from Amazon and the winch from my local 4wheelparts store. The pricing seems pretty consistent on the mount $749 with free shipping from Amazon, summit racing, 4wheelparts, etc. Same with the winch at $429

Some of the tiny trailers available now are really pretty cleverly done.

Ok... so they take the truck in and take a look. Sure enough, there's a software update for the system. Not sure if it fixed the reset issue yet, didn't make any calls to people I don't know. They also added a new map feature that gives you the semi 3D look to the map instead of the old "north" or "driving direction" view.

Rave... I called them around lunch, they got me in when I could be there and they took care of the problem. And then they washed the truck... which is awesome considering winter hasn't fully left and the city keeps putting salt on the road. Combined with the runoff, melt and salt, the beast was looking a little grey. Also checked for TSB and recalls and advised me that the warranty for things like trim, cosmetics, squeaks etc, is coming off in 7000km (which I can put on in a couple of months of working away) which is much appreciated. It would ave totally slipped my mind.

Rant... why do I have to call them and complain about an issue that they know is there and then take it to the dealership for updating? Why can't there be a way for me to download the update from my computer to a USB and update myself?

    All in all, happy.

**Note that I am in Canada and any updates to the system may not apply to my southern friends, as you have a different system than we do.**

Yes they are. We camped in the same area with a couple that had a TAB teardrop and it was really nice.

    a few...
Installed earlier this morning the TRD Pro air flow accelerator as I’ve had the TRD Pro air filter in the truck for 12 months now. I’ll see if there’s any tiny difference today on my 160 mile round trip.

I’m patiently waiting for my OV tune I ordered on 03.26.2018...

Installed the Morimoto Elite HID headlight kit and replacement LED fog lights. Headlights are 5500k so they all match the DRLs much better now. I think I did a pretty clean install of the HID kit and the fog lights are stupid easy to put in. The fogs also black out the front even more when not on so double bonus.

I did remove the air dams (plastic shrouds on each side of radiator) along time ago. When you use caliraised brackets for the lower grill light install, caliraised tells you to get rid of the dams because the brackets use the holes the air dams mount too. I have never had any overheating issues and I spend a lot of time out running around in the Anzo-Borango desert in 100 degree + temps. On the Smittybilt Winch I used, the control module sits pretty low and I mounted it in the middle. I think you might have to trim the dams if you moved the control module to the left or right. I have read here on TW some others that removed the air dams also for whatever reasons and have no problem. But even if you do keep them it looks like you would only trim a couple inches off the bottom of the passenger side shroud. In the instructions #27 it says trim plastic as necessary. I don’t know where you would need to trim the mount went in perfect.

That’s the same day I ordered mine! I emailed them about ETA and they said a component was held up in customs but it should ship out this week.

I have an OME 2” medium lift with 888 coils and nitro struts up front, 265/70/17 ridge grapplers. I should have measured but didn’t, but I don’t notice or see any drop. Lots of room for the tires, no rubbing. I would imagine if your running stock suspension you would see some drop. You are adding almost 200lbs to the front, winch is 99, mount is 98.
