So I have a collapsible bucket I got with the intention to use it that way, but typically I just soap up a plate or my coffee mug, and give it a quick spray with the hose and call it good. The perks of solo camping. :p

Did you do an in cab in/out switch too? Or is that just for the wireless?

What that switch does is only allow power to the winch when that switch is on. So I leave wireless on on the solenoid and if I need to use the winch now it’s a flip of a switch and I can control the winch with the wireless controllers in hand. Of course I gotta engage the clutch but that’s it.

Gotcha, haven’t seen that setup before, I like it. Did the same thing with my in cab switch.

Winch install is finally done. @Squeaky Penguin I did need to do emergency trimming halfway through spooling.

[IMG]IMG_0263 by Michael Halat, on Flickr

Need to go out and spool it under load now.

    Also got some tools/accesories.

Also got my Mob Armor tablet mount on. @Blackdawg did you have issues with the suctions? I had it set up and the next day I found the tablet on the floor. Any advice?

And a fun photo with the rock lights on:

Looking good Mike. One thing to check, (i was tight on clearance with the winch spool too) is make sure you are spooling with the trucks weight. It will be much tighter to the spool then, plus thats how it needs to be properly setup.

Safety siphons are fantastic. Had gas, diesel, and other nasty shit in my mouth more times than I should. Never again. Haha.

Yeah the plan is to head out some place and hook it up to a tree. I just did this spool to see how well it would fit with the grill and how much I needed to trim more.

Yeah I got it based on @Wheelspinner's recommendations and love the concept. Never needed to use my jerry until Moab and what a pain in the ass holding up that weight filling. So much easier to set it on the tool box and let it do it's thing and I can just need to hold it for the last like 1/2 gal.

So winch is finally spooled under load. Got clearance for days now. Also took off my rope sheath as it was awkwardly catching the grill when I spool it it and risking ripping it apart. Thankfully my sheath is only velcroed on and easily removable. The idea is to keep it in the truck and throw it on when needed (situations where rope might drag on sharp objects).

Only minor prep left for my trip in two weeks. Going to check fluid levels, replace the air filter, clean the MAF, run some seafoam and grease the driveline and I'll be all set.

My sheath protected my rope when I ran Kane Creek. Went down a steep drop and then the other side went back up. Caught the rope between a rock and the bumper. Tore the sheath but the rope is good. Maybe someday I'll get a flat link or something so I can spool the rope all the way to the hawse. Right now the thimble gouges the hawse.

    Sorry i missed this.

I've never had an issue. Mine doesn't even like to pull off. I've only removed it once otherwise it hasn't budged since i put it on the first time.

Did you wet them a bit? use a damp rag or paper towel if you don't want to lick them haha

Yeah definitely not deleting the sheath all together. I can see it's purpose being super helpful, especially if you wrap the sheath in another thick piece of cloth like a sweatshirt. The fact that I can add/remove mine whenever I need it is awesome to me.

Yeah I wet it and had it sit over night and found the tablet on the floor the next day. Tried it again and made sure every single suction was fully engaged and so far so good. We'll see how it does offroad in a few weeks.

No new updates to the truck, but just got done back from a trip to VA. Ran Potts Mountain with @Rockbaron1 then caught a leg of the Shenandoah/Allegheny Overland Route, and finished at the Big Dogs Icebreakers event with @ToyRyd04 as well.

I'll do a full trip report again I think like I did with Moab, but here are some of my favorite photos of my truck from this trip:

[IMG]IMG_0218 by Michael Halat, on Flickr

The front suspension is making some funky creaking noises at me after that stuffage ^

And from big dogs (specifically the night wheeling was a great fucking time):

[IMG]IMG_0519 by Michael Halat, on Flickr

Also finally broke my winch in on squealer.

The 35's ate this section up with no issues:

[IMG]IMG_0505 by Michael Halat, on Flickr

But I was stuck on this rock in the middle and every attempt to go around put me in a sketchy feeling situation (like I was going to roll)

So with Pat's help I winched up past this obstacle:

[IMG]IMG_0506 by Michael Halat, on Flickr

It was a great trip, had a great time. It was probably my last big trip for a while aside from June's FPK meet.

The beauty of trips is the motivation it brings for new mods/improving old ones. I also learned a few things I want to improve for night wheeling as well and the locations for some new lights. Thank's for the kind words Jerry!

Compiling a list of shit I need to do maintenance wise:

    Plugs
    Wires
    Coils?
    Fuel Filter
    Air Filter
    OEM PS Pump

Carrier Bearing (Might wait on this, still feels tight)
Diff's (Drain and fill) (saving for when I need to weld some armor on)
Trans and Tcase (Drain and fill)
    Repaint skids
    Touch up sliders
    Anti seize cams

    Rebuild the spare alternator
Take dent out of the gas tank
    New tailgate
    LED bulbs/New Headlight housings
    Replacing cracked trim on windows
    Fix air conditioning
    New Battery - DONE

    Mods:

Tundra brakes: still need pads, rotors and lines
3 additional floods to rock lights
    Hood lights on pin switch
    Redline Hood struts
Build a glare shield for the light bar
    Beef up the IFS skid
Plate the bottom of the diff/ rebuild the ring around the plug
Buy or beef up the gas tank skid

    dual battery setup
    Fiberglass fenders
    Half doors
    Swing out build
    bed rack and RTT
    new bedside decals
print up decals of trails from Moab
Heat exchanger in engine bay for warm showers
ABS controller delete/LSPV delete/manual valve install
Amazon spots behind the grill again with Bamf mount

    Suspension:
Solid mid travel build - UCA's, extended travel RR coils
Rear shock relocation, u bolt flip, box the frame, maybe air bumps?
Full LT or 3-link is way to far out of reach currently

    :spending::spending::spending:

Current priorities will be maintenance. No big trips coming anytime soon and the truck is pretty set for weekend trips. Then maybe small mods/cheap free ones since I am hoping to be focusing back on getting my motorcycle back on the road. I miss riding a ton these days.

Edited to bold priorities for personal reference.
