I am garaging it for a while now. Actually not that bad bought it used with 17k miles. So I have put 11k on it in 20months of owning it, and that is a trip to AZ, Laughlin, and 3 vegas trips last year.

Blown up too many powerstorkes. First one was a 7.3 in my F450. blew half dollar sized hole through piston number 7. Skipped the 6.0 power stroke motor shit show but my uncle can tell you all about it. Bought a 6.4 and the headgaskets blew out at 34K miles. traded it for a 2012 F350 with their "Latest and Greatest" 6.7 power stroke.... It lasted about 45K before the turbo blew itself to pieces and sent all the shrampnel through the motor. Took it back to the dealer and said keep it. Then went over to GMC and picked up a 2013 3500 duramax. All of these trucks have only been used to tow my 48 foot horse trailer (30-34K pounds) or other trailers. 75K miles of that kind of abuse later on the GMC and ZERO mechanical issues. Only codes and issues have been caused by the DEF system (That problem was solved... by way of other means necessary). So I'm not sure what you mean by "They've proven their Diesel"...

And before you say, I'm a GMC Fan boy, I do own a F150 as well and it has done incredibly well. 156K miles 50-60K have been towing 8-11K. I really do love the design of the ford platform over GM. Much nicer and many many bells and whistles. their diesels just suck. The newer 2015-current powerstokes have been improved but there have been many that the dealer couldn't fix due to electrical issues.

no way to do this affordably. The reason the new Diesel colorados are so expensive is becuase of the DEF and DPF systems required by the EPA.

This. Right fucking here. Turn that boost up and drive the fucking tires off. factory turbo is by far the best thing that has happened. As much as I loved the 6.2 on the raptor and select f150s... you can get so much more out of the twin turbo 3.5. So much easier to add more power from a turbo motor, less expensive than a NA motor, and more HP bang for your buck. Given you've accepted that you just destroyed every warranty on the truck and that you are going to cut the life on the motor.
