I don't know either, never tried it lol. I'd imagine not but idk. I just can't make up my mind if I want to go expo or just add to my stock pack. I only use the RTT and bed loaded on trips so not all the time am I pulling around 300lbs or so in the bed.

 

It was suggested to me, when I talked to Headstrong, that the 3-leaf or progressive AALs were better than the Deaver single AAL if there was a constant load over a couple hundred lbs. Obviously whole pack if there is more weight than that.

 

I would assume that the 3 leafs would be completely fine for what I will use it for. Too high then I have to worry about everything else back there. However if I'm going to buy some, the way my mind works, is I should just replace it all.

What's everyone's opinion on a bigger fuel tank? I just get frustrated with my 200 mile range lol. I keep thinking about doing this.

It’s cheaper to buy an auxiliary tank from Tractor Supply and plumb it via an added fuel pump to transfer to your existing tank.

Not that I would know.

This has been brought up before, with it being behind the cross member there's a chance of something happening if you are rear ended. It was all laid out in a thread here somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.

I'm on board with having an extra/extended fuel tank in the spare tire area because of the ability to have a steel rear bumper and having a skid made to cover the area. And if a meteor finds it's way from the sky and crashing into my skull then I guess I won't have much to think about after that.
