Hey guys, wanted to jump in. I am just starting looking at lifts. I have looked all over (fox king) way out of my price range. I am looking now at the 5100 0-3. I am a noob when it comes to trucks and lifts. I don’t want crap on my truck or don’t want to spend a lot of cash (like I have it‍♂️) If you could point me in a good direction that would be very helpful, I am lost on which way to go.

 

Honestly if your on a tight budget the 5100's are a good shock. I ran them for 3 years and they're still good. I just decided to upgrade because I'm starting to get into more exploring that involves long drives on rough to very rough roads. So it warranted the upgrade for me. I also thought one or both of the 5100 fronts was making a clicking noise but it wasn't the shocks, in fact it still makes the noise occasionally even with all new shocks. If you do just occasional off road they are a step up from stock for sure and the ride is good, in fact similar to the 6112 its just when pushing it you get better control and damping from the 6112. They will get you the lift the same as 6112's just don't go for max lift or the ride suffers ** So I have my still good 5100's sitting in the garage front and rear I'll sell for a very good price if anyone is interested. Msg me or I may list them separately as I see no need to keep them anymore.

Seems like every retailer is sold out of 6112s. Does anyone have any idea when they'll be available again?

Most odd road companies aren't large enough to carry stock of these and they drop ships them from Bilstein. This means they rely on Bilstein's stock and they ain't got none left.

I will ask RCA if they spoke to their representative yet

 

Not sure if you guys thought about getting them from Vancouver, Bilstein supplier has the 6112 for around 700 USD when you do exchange.

I ordered the TRD pro suspension kit back when the sale was on at conicelli, its on the east coast. It was trucked in a week up to the border in Washington so it doesn't take long.

 

Tried to see how much it would cost, but can't select United States under their country drop down box.

 

I see what you mean, no USA option on the form, you could try to give them a call, they were really quick when I ordered 5100s. Good service

I spoke to a guy at Wheelers last week. He said Bilstein shut all other production down in order to ramp up 8112 production.Dont know if it thats true or not. Maybe they are going to drop the price on 8112's.

 

Do you know if this is true for all of 6112's back-ordered with RCA? When I originally ordered in late February I was given a mid-late April ETA.

 

they told me April when I last asked, too. I assume Bilstein got back to them with real dates
