    I have one.

    I like it sometimes.

Most times I still look, 'Cause for most of my situations looking is better.

But another solution to your issue is a moisture sensor that locks out reverse when the lens is wet.

Put a dab of rain-x on the lense. That stuff is like wax for glass.

I'm gonna follow my own advice if I remember.

Just remove the glass covering the camera lens, then no water can stick to the cover.

I wouldnt use any hydrophobic agent as it beads up in a ball and just hangs there. Makes it worse

Maybe yoda should come up with a similar idea to Hyundia's I30 aka Elantra GT....My wife has the GT and I have to say back up cam is always clean no matter what weather.

I’d say that wiping it off manually is pretty easy.

A lot of dirt on the roads from rain runoff around here stays on the camera lens and seems to cloud it up worse the just the water.

A windshield washer canister and pump in the bed compartment along with a nozzle directed right at the lens might help and it would be an entertaining and pretty easy project.

I’m going to test out how effectively just spraying it with water cleans it off when dirty.

    That and a little wax.

Just get a NOx setup, and instead of nitrous oxide just fill your tanks with compressed air. Set the nozzle to pffttt your lens with a momentary button in the cab. Problem solved, and a new mod write-up.

JK in case anybody thought I was serious.
