I'm the complete opposite, my truck never seems to shift into 5th unless I completely take my foot off the throttle

Thanks for the update Mat. Some of us did see a power loss in the 91 octane T2 or 2T3 test files you created to address other issues such as stutters/throttle tip in. That's what the fuss is about. I for one loved the extra power on both B and C for M/T.

It's perceived power loss because throttle was changed.

It's like thinking the sprint booster adds power, then going back to stock is losing power

Sprint booster and throttle body spacers don’t add 17 RWHP?

    Hmmmmm

Hope you share the outcome as you essentially logged a power loss if I remember correctly.

Edit: *recorded backing off on ignition in the test file*

Listen man, we've had our differences on here before but there's no need to doubt my honesty. WTH would I try and hide something anyway? If you're still carrying a chip, it's time to drop it. I PM'd Mat because he may have missed my earlier PMs/emails on the subject. Besides, we're already kinda at odds with what he just posted. MTF

Woah, no harm intended just asking you to share the outcome. Don’t mean to offend you.

Edit: The hmm is because your findings seem to be different from what he stated. Maybe I’m just to blunt sometimes.

Yeah man, me too sometimes. I also don't want to appear to be arguing with Mat publicly if there's a simple misunderstanding.

I’ve got a cure for all y’all looking for engine braking. Dirtyfives!!

12.5”ish contact patch. 74lb rubber. 48lb wheel. Mmmmmmm rotational weight and rolling resistance.

Still shocked at the mileage I can squeak out, yet the truck still wants to bark these beeeches when I feel like being a fool on the 91 tune.

That’s the full sized matching 5th I acquired last month just after mounting at the shop.

I thought my money was well spent when I got my first tune - 1.03. Obviously I’m glad development has continued and improvements are continually being made. The test tune I’m running is great. I’ve had my truck almost a year and it’s come a long way from stock to now. I’ve been tuned since the end of November.

Lots of people mention small issues here and there and I’ve had some of them too. If those are keeping people from buying the tune, it shouldn’t. Matt is continually using feedback to make the tune better. I for one am totally ok being part of the development and early adopter but I do understand that it’s not for everyone.

Well, you could always use S mode and peg it at S4 and you’ll get your engine braking back... so if I have a load or am in the mtns I use s3 or 4

Also happy here. MUCH more usable now.

There was talk about rev hang here a couple times. The stock tune drove me nuts. 1.03 I didn’t mine. The current test tune I’m on I don’t even notice if it is still thing. If it does technically still exist, it’s not intrusive like it was before. At least on my truck.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but since S1-3 is half lock now does that now affect purposeful engine braking in S-mode? I felt immediately in 1.03 that I had less engine braking. Quite noticeable for me as I have a large downhill right off the bat on my commute every morning.

I'm not overly familiar with how half-lock would affect engine braking, if someone could educate me I would be pleased.

    :D
